My comments of July 8, 2008 were accurate; however, things have been on the decline. Toni is no longer here to provide the outstanding service and greeting. The City is confused about the direction of airport operations. SS LL prices are very high and most of the locals are buying their fuel elsewhere. The new personnel are nice folks, but have little knowledge of aircraft, airport operations, or expectations of incoming passengers. Not their fault, just lack of experience. FBO has clean restrooms and is kept nice! Palestine is a nice town and a beautiful area....

I had made a fuel stop here before and had been very happy so decided to work it into my flight plan for my current trip. This trip did not work out as well. Landed, taxied up to the fuel tank and no one was around. Went to use the restroom and found a sign on the FBO door that they are closed on Sunday's. No restroom available after a 870 mile trip :(. Went to use the self-serve Jet A pump and the pump was either not working or the fuel tank was empty. Called the "call out" number on the door and got the police department who said they would dispatch someone to the airport. A few minutes later I received a call saying it would be at least 25 minutes before they would be there. I was on a time frame and could not wait an additional 25 minutes after spending 25 minutes with the faulty pump--especially if they were out of Jet A. Oh, we did get about a pint of fuel before the pump shut down. Flew over to KJSO for fuel, price was better, attendant was there and there were restrooms!

This is a good city run airport and I've been many times. The FBO staff are always friendly and helpful. They do have a courtesy car for a short trip into town. I purchased gas at the self-serve pump for 3.85 a gallon. I used my debit card. I've used the debit card many times in the past to pay for fuel and never had any trouble. This time there was a problem. The LCD display was barely useable and unreadable. This is why I used the "fill tanks" button. Later in the day I discovered that my account had a $300 hold on it while the charge was processed. This lasted 5 days until it was reversed and the correct $135 charged. Beware, if you use the fuel pump, if you use a debit/credit card you will have a $300 hold placed on your account for 5 days.

I have been flying into PSN for two years now. Toni is the best airfield manager I have ever encountered. She is always available for help. This is my favorite FBO and airport in the country.

Flew in my Cessna 150 from California on May 5, 2010 stayed 6 weeks, no tiedown fees, purchased Avgas $3.75 and great people and service, especially by Toni-the manager. I highly recommend this airport with multiple runways, N/S & E/W and good fuel prices. Bigger airports could certainly learn a thing or two from KPSN and its staff.

Toni, the airport manager, offered to help with self-serve fueling and offered snacks. Very friendly, clean and nice facility with low price gas! Thanks!

Palestine Airport was an excellent stop for us. Toni, airport manager, helped with fueling even at the self-service. On the day that I stopped the airport was offering discount price in support of the Reklaw Fly-In. Two runways make in and out easier than some for my skill level. Recommended for sure.

Had to divert in KPSN last Sunday when an alternator failed. Toni, the airport mgr, was on her way from the airport when she spotted my airplane stopped on a taxiway. Soon a group of friendly, helpful individuals were there to help me remove my cowling and the alternator. They even drove me to several auto stores trying to find one that could check out the alternator. During our trip to town, we put a charger on the battery, which allowed me to finish the final leg to my destination. They stayed with me throughout and are the type of airplane people that we should all hope to be. Thanks Toni and the guys.

We stopped by twice this week and what a great FBO! The previous comments really capture the excellent service and small town friendly feel you receive here. Clean spacious facilities, computer/printer for briefings (or just surfing), a well stocked frig with lots of cold drinks, loads of different snacks, coffee, TV, and of course a friendly airport dog that just wants to be petted all day. We'll be back and thank again!
