Landed there on Thanksgiving (11/24). Called ahead to the FBO on Wednesday to check on fuel availability, tie downs, etc. Person that I spoke with was very friendly and helpful. The FBO was closed on Thanksgiving, so the landing fee/tiedown was "waived". Runway was in great condition, though there was a large amount of birds in the runway when landing. Also - very easy to find, I saw the cooling towers and steam from about 45nm out at 5500msl.

Very friendly folks her at Heritage field, which was renamed from Limerick. Unusual entrance to the pilots lounge through the large hangar occupied by Business Aircraft, but if you are into antique aircraft, you must stop by. We saw a Staggerwing Beech and another 1930's era craft. Office/Lounge area was recently renovated, with clean restroom facilities, coffee/tea, TV, phone, weather, etc. A Beech King Air pilot even let me take a seat in the comfy cabin of his company's turbo-prop, and that was a real treat for me. Like I said, friendly folks. I hear there is a restaurant as well nearby, but we did not check-it-out.

Friendly and efficient airport. A little "loosie goosey" compared to high traffic towered airports where we're based, with a taildragger crossing the runway while we were on short final then departing before our Beech 33A cleared the runway, but it all worked out. The nearby Holiday Inn Express was a very pleasant surprise and the nicest overnight stop on a cross-country trip from Las Vegas. Enterprise left our rental car at the airport as requested and made it easy.

Decided to stop for fuel, but found the FBO closed when we landed. We called the number on the FBO door for after hour’s service (it was about 8 pm) and the gentleman gladly agreed to drive over and fill us up. Even though it was only 25 gal, he didn't charge any extra and was super friendly. Would definitely go back to support people who run their business so caringly.

Flew in for the breakfast Fly-In this past weekend. Easy in and out. Line folks were friendly and serviced the plane quickly so we could get to the breakfast. Nice airport.

Stopped by for a couple nights’ parking and fuel. The natives are friendly and helpful and the fuel was reasonable for this area. Parking fees were waived with fuel purchase. We would stop by again. The cooling towers at the nuclear plant are even larger than you would expect them to be and can be seen for miles--even on the ground.
