Stopped here for fuel from Knoxville, TN to Boise, ID. Great fuel stop. Some of the best maintained and up-to-date self serve equipment I've used. Great facility for checking weather, resting, restrooms, etc. Too. Would definitely stop again if in the area.

Pros: Cheap fuel, free parking, decent lounge/restrooms; Cons: As others have said, the rental car desk is a LONG walk away at the terminal, and once you get it you will park in a spot that requires you to carry your bags quite a ways to get them to the car. No one is really around to help you figure everything out so coming prepared and ready to walk would help a lot. Remember your fuel receipt because without if you won't have the code to get back in to the ramp... We learned that the hard way. Overall: Great/cheap fuel stop, but in my opinion the convenience of a full-serve FBO is definitely worth it at this airport when staying overnight.

Nice larger airport close to Mt Rushmore. No fee tie downs on the GA ramp with lots of open space. Refueled at Rapid Fuel self-service at the north end of ramp – nice facility. Only challenge was that our Hotwire.Com rental car was at the main terminal, which was a 5 or 6 block walk from the tiedowns.

Great self-serve fuel. Les at L&D Aero Service 605-393-2254 made a few repairs and hangared my bird at a reasonable cost. I'll stop again.

Great self serve pump on the north end of the ramp. Easy to use and a very good discount on fuel from the full service FBO price. Will use again

First time I have used self service fuel (on a flying trip around western USA in a rented Cessna 182). Worked exactly as stated by previous posters. Yes, a long walk to the terminal to collect a rental car. Couldn't figure out how to get the rental car onto the ramp, but walked thru the Rapid Fuel office to get to the plane. Free tie down parking on grass worked out well.

Free tiedowns on grass adjacent to office. Nice for a "big" airport. Rental cars a long hike but National came and got us. Gate code to get back in is printed on your fuel receipt.

Perfect fuel stop. Great self serve pump, clean bathrooms, mechanic available at L&D. Crew car to get to the terminal for real food.

Easy Airport to get in and out of. Self-serve fuel is easy to use as well. Instructions are easy to understand. Rapid Fuel also has an OK lounge. Was in the middle of remodeling. Went to use the computer for weather briefing and it was SO SLOW, full of viruses. Was not able to use which was a big disappointment. Bathrooms were extra clean though, which was nice and cheap snacks in the fridge.
