We flew into RKW last week and Danny greeted us with red carpet service. Great facilities, with great snacks, in a beautiful part of the country. Take the crew car into town and dine at the Rockwood Street Grill. Looking forward to going back.

Refreshing to land at an airport like Rockwood. Danny and crew parked, chocked, greeted, had rent car ready, gave directions to passengers, offered crew free soft drinks, snacks, drove pilot to country store for lunch and the fresh peach was the best I ever ate. Yes very refreshing

Danny and Vinnie are truly exceptional. They park you even in the rain! They anticipate parking needs, car, and overnight accommodations. They give you the AWOS phone number so you don't need to look it up! Everything you need is here, including directions and exit numbers. So convenient to I-40. So glad I stopped there. I will return.

This is a great airport and FBO. We were parked and greeted planeside by the manager with a good old-fashioned handshake! The manager took very good care of my passenger. He had his rental car and paperwork ready and waiting. He had a sausage biscuit and coffee for pilots. The manager, Danny Collins, is a true gentleman! This is a small airport with large airport amenities with wi-fi and a nice nostalgic FBO setting. I give this FBO and Mr. Collins an excellent rating!!

Arrived weekday evening to discover that the FBO closed at five and was locked tight. Note that the FBO closes at five weekdays and has short hours on the weekends.

I have never been to an airport that the personnel treat you as well as Danny does. He really goes the extra mile to ensure that every detail is taken care of and will feed you if you forgot your lunch. Very good Jet A price! That is why we will be back to Rockwood!!

I was en route to Murfreesboro on 6/9 and was forced to land due to thunderstorms between Murfreesboro and me. The people at this airport fell over themselves to help me out and get me on my way as soon as possible. It is very easy in and out there, and it would be a great gas stop.

What makes this airport the best is the airport manager, Danny Collins. Danny greeted us warmly, displaying the right mixture of southern charm and professionalism with his "yes, ma'am, " and "yes, sir" replies to us. In addition, he took the time to provide us a history of the airport as well as a tour of the facilities—even offering us soft drinks. He proved himself to be an excellent goodwill ambassador, displaying pride in the recent improvements and appreciation for support from the FAA, and city and county governments. He is the personality of Rockwood Municipal Airport and sets the tone for a successful, can-do operation of which everyone has a right to be proud. There are a few chain hotels in their area and the restaurants nearby are great and not very expensive to Southern California prices. A beautiful airport, worth the stop,

We flew in from Houston in a Citation Mustang. This is not the typical small town airport. Our rental car was at the cabin door when we arrived. We received 150 gals and the plane was fueled on arrival. The Danny and Vinni were very friendly and helpful. Very nice facility with all amenities for pilots and passengers. Perfect airport for Knoxville access, and the view is great!!! We will use this airport again in the future.

A very nice experience. The courtesy and professionalism of the staff were very much appreciated. Whether it was to stay after hours, or help in any other capacity. I would especially like to thank the airport manager, Danny Collins for all of his efforts. If just passing by or using this facility in a professional capacity, I would highly recommend this airport. The city of Rockwood should be proud of there airport and operations. Great facility on Cumberland Plateau with easy access to both Knoxpatch, Oak Ridge and environs. Second trip and will return. The only area for improvement would be more rental car options.

Flew to Rockwood for a business meeting on August 25th. Danny had my rental car ready and even provided breakfast! He said with my early arrival he didn't think I would have had time to eat before I took off. Great service all around. I hope business brings me back sometime soon.

We have been flying in and out of the Rockwood Airport every few weeks since December 08 in support of the cleanup operations at the TVA Kingston Power Plant. The airport staff and service they provide is top notch.
