RQE is an excellent if under-utilized facility. There is exactly one ramp spot with chains so bring chocks and plan your fuel to get somewhere else. No car is available but the Quality Inn includes a perfect restaurant just a few minutes' walk away. The local folk are the world's friendliest and there are many things to see here but to get around requires a rental car from Gallup. Check out the "Rock With a Hole In It" and especially the memorial to the Code Talkers. Look for cattle roaming the streets :-)

We stopped on 12/21 to drop off a member of the Navajo tribe. The tribe owns the airport. They do not sell fuel although they have it for their own tribal planes. They have a wonderful runway and food is close by walking. If you need fuel, you will need to go to Gallup.

Nice little lounge, two weather computers, clean restrooms. Several (10+) tiedown spots. However, bring your own ropes / tiedowns / chocks. Two fuel tanks (JetA & 100LL), but it looks like it is private and not for public sale. Short (10min) walk to restaurant at the Quality Inn hotel, also Pizza Hut across the street too. Runway in really good shape. Landing Rwy 2 and T/O Rwy 20 seems to be the norm.
