The people at Halifax County are the reason I enjoy flying into small airfields. You can tell they enjoy working there and they went out of their way to help me with everything during my turn. On my return trip thru they even offered to stay late to make sure I got fuel to make it home. Pleasant people and reasonable fuel prices; wish all airfields were like this!

Landed at RZZ to wait out a cold front (seems to be a common theme for this airport). Great little facility with excellent hospitality. Manager offered the crew car and even offered to keep the place open past closing time until I could get back in the air.

Flying to Raleigh-Durham, I found freezing rain reversed course. RZZ was closest, so I went direct. Calling RZZ blind, Terry answered with a welcome and a warning that wx would make me stay. FBO was clean and warm, Terry helped me find a hotel, gave me a dry tie down to use, fueled me, and handed me a novel. RZZ = hospitality. Mack's Way taxi was polite and clean. Thanks everyone. Thanks very much Terry.

For the great AirNav price I was quite surprised when the line lady came out to fuel me! Easy to find for pax from I-95, they have everything you need and are genuinely happy to see you. Keep a sharp eye for birds, they're not kidding about that. Thanks from Cardinal 177Q!

Got weathered in at KRZZ 06/25/06-06/28/06. The friendliness and hospitality of Erika was very much appreciated. Fuel prices were the cheapest along our route. Would HIGHLY recommend this stop even if you go 50-100 miles out of the way to get there.

Flew the NDB approach last week (no problems with the beacon) and stopped for fuel - it's nice place, lots of parking and hardly any traffic, self-service fuel and helpful staff. Very pleasant fuel stop indeed!
