Flew to KSAW on May 23 to take our daughter to the NMU campus for a tour. Great facilities and very nice people. The only unusual thing is that the crew car cannot be used to go into Marquette (15 miles away). We had to rent a car to get into town. I am not sure where else you would use the courtesy car to go to since there is very little between the airport and Marquette. Gas was more reasonable than at home so we bought fuel.

Stopped at Sawyer on my way west from Boston. The guys at Boreal suggested the old AF barracks hotel (Red Fox Inn). Adequate but spartan but o.K. For the night. The line guys were a fantastic help, first with the frost on the plane then with the jump-start that was needed. No charge for all the help. I'd highly recommend Boreal for a fuel stop.

Stopped here a few years ago for my checkride and cross country trips. I never purchased fuel but the staff was always friendly and very helpful even though they didn't get any money from me. Great place I would recommend it and the area is beautiful.

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable facilities, and a pretty good fuel price. Line service was prompt and attentive. They recognized our family as our daughter dropped us off and had our 172 towed to the ramp right by their door before I even asked. We have received the same great service on each of our three visits over the last year. Thanks.

Stopped here twice recently and found the line staff to be courteous and very helpful. Very comfortable lounge and good weather and flight planning facilities.

The very courteous and friendly staff at Boreal moved my Swift into a hangar during a windstorm. Well above and beyond the call of duty. Many thanks.

Flew in for a 3-day visit in a Citation XLS. Great line crew and very friendly. Nice big hangers (former SAC Bomber base). Town is bit of a drive so opt for the rental car.

Flew in for a meeting. FBO is clean and well maintained with a friendly line staff who came out in the cold to greet me. They have a courtesy car available but only if you are driving around the (former) air force base closest town is about 20 min away. FBO is at South end of field East of Runway 1. Let people meeting you know you are at the General Aviation facility and not the passenger terminal - there are two entrances to the airfield off the highway depending on where you are going...

Very clean and new FBO building, self-serve pump right next to it. Boreal handles AVIS car rentals, called the day before and the car was ready and waiting when we arrived, no hassle. Not much around the airport, an abandoned AF Base, but there is a very nice coffee/sandwich/soup place just a few blocks from Boreal - very friendly and welcoming.
