I stopped at Fleming Field because the fuel was $1.75/gal cheaper then Downtown Holman. Justin was there and was a big help. The temp was below Zero and he got me a spot in a heated hangar and gave me his cell number so I could find him when I left Sunday. Since there were high winds and blowing snow, he drove the runway ahead of me to make sure there were no drifts. I will be back.

We stopped and stayed overnight a couple of times with our Caravan because of the cheap fuel. After the first time, you learn how to get along. Suggest you call ahead, find where to go, and make arrangements. Though it is a SS facility, someone will help you.

Be prepared to wander aimlessly if you arrive after dark, as parking is not obvious (later found good parking with tie downs right in front of the terminal) Dirt-cheap fuel and $15/WEEK or $30/MONTH tie downs with extension cords available for your engine heater. Nice stop.

Normally I go to STP (Holman-downtown STP) but South St. Paul is very convenient. I emailed in advance and they had a courtesy car available for me to drive downtown - about 15 minutes. Fuel at $2.99 is a bargain but the pump cuts off at 100 gals. I had to re-run the card, which is a hassle. I saved at least $160 by stopping at SGS to fill my Duke. I'll be back. (By the way, the pump hose is now plenty long enough for twin)

Great GA Airport. Good fuel prices. If you are headed to the Twin Cities, I highly recommend Fleming Field (SGS).

In their own words, a "self-service" airport. FBO well maintained. After 20 minutes we were able to track down the airport manager, who let us borrow one of the airport's Crown Victorias to take two passengers to MSP. Cheapest fuel in the MSP area. If you don't mind the "self-service" aspect, this is a very nice airport. MSP approach was wonderful, vectoring us through the Bravo even though we were a Cherokee and VFR.

Well run spotlessly clean FBO. Good self serve fuel prices. Very helpful young woman working late Sunday afternoon allowed me the use of airport car. What was exceptional about this was I would be returning it when FBO was closed so she instructed me to just put key under office door. Very nice gesture after flying for six and half hours.

Nice airport!! Close to MN, St. Paul but at edge of Class B. Watch the St. Paul Downtown Class D just to the north of the field. MN Approach was easy to deal with and cleared me throught the class D. Nice tie down for $5 a night and great facilities, they have a new flight planning room and a nice lobby and clean restrooms. Go see all the amphibs at Whipaire. This will be my stop anytime I go to MN/St. Paul

Great airport. Although we got in late, Rodney from Wipaire put our airplane in a hanger, handled our luggage, and drove us over to the terminal. Wipaire charged only $16 per night for the hanger. Note that the city charges $5 per night if you choose to tie down. The city terminal is very nice and the airport manager was very helpful.
