It seems Pepper Garcia's has been at the Santa Maria airport terminal for a long time. The Mexican food is still excellent, but the service can get slow at slow times. My steak fajitas were served so hot that I had to move it to the other side of the table so I could breath through the smoke. I thought the smoke alarm was going to go off. I can recommend this place, if you have time to visit.

Had lunch here while on a student solo x-c. If you park on the transient ramp, walk through Golden West Jet Center and over to the terminal. Good service, and very good tacos, stuffed full of beef. Great salsa, too.

We stopped for a leg stretching, bathroom break, and food stop on July 6th, 2006. I would have to say their food was just ok. Being from San Diego, I like Mexican food with a bit more "flavor". The salsa needed a bit more kick to it. The service was fine. The terminal surprised us. For such a small airport, there was a full screening area and at least four "gates" for the commercial passengers. The tower and ground controllers were VERY helpful. Airport gets an a-; Pepper Garcia's gets just a "B".

Had the "$100 burrito" there today - good food, good service, good view of runway 12/30. No complaints at all. The restaurant is on the right side of the terminal - straight in from taxiway A3 - transient parking is just SE of the terminal (between A2 & A3).

Good restaurant. I thought the Mexican Food was clearly above average and the Salsa very good. The staff was very friendly. Pepper's is in the main terminal and transit parking is 500 feet south of the door.
