My boyfriend and I literally dove into Salinas after a weather diversion. What a blessing. Central Coast Aviation was first on the scene. Hospitable, professional, caring, and took care of our every need. Lined up a hotel, provided us with a vehicle for the evening, and assisted any way they could. I must say, the line techs are outstanding. No detail overlooked. These guys set the standard for how a FBO should operate! Top shelf all the way. I agree with other comments regarding line service...Excellent.... Just don't depend on verbal quote for rental car. I was quoted $45 a day for compact car. Upon arrival I was charged $69.99 per day plus tax. No manager on site when I dropped car. I called several times after arriving home. Was told repeatedly that manager would return my call. No return calls ever made. Perhaps a week later, I caught the manager (Julio) in the office. He finally told me he'd send a credit for difference toward a future rental. Six weeks later no credit received. I will make it a point to avoid Central Coast in the future.

Central Coast in Salinas did a great job for us a couple weeks ago. Their fuel prices (Avfuel Contract) where outstanding along with the service they provided the crew and especially my boss. They provided a limo at no charge to go to Pebble Beach and picked him back up again-very refreshing change from typical FBO handling!

Kim went out of her way to secure us a car on a very busy weekend and with little notice--tho she was busy prepping to go on vacation. The line crew was FANTASTIC. Rental car pulled up quickly to the plane with cold bottled water at every seat. I cannot say enough about this great operation. We'll likely use them and SNS from now on instead of MRY on trips to the area. The better weather and great service (not to mention fresh cookies) are well worth a couple of extra minutes in the car.

What an awesome FBO. I was blown away by the attention, enthusiasm and support by the linemen. The mgr even came out to us as we deplaned and greeted us. The linemen stayed until we were ready to leave the airplane, and drove us to the FBO just a few yards away. Most of our flights are lifeguard medical flights. We fly surgeons and organs to many airports so the surgeons can perform their transplant or transplants. Never have we (my CA and I (FO)) experienced just unsurpassed service. Thank you.

Not only did our rental car stop in front of our plane as our door opened. Or everyone on the crew that helped get us in and out effortlessly, but what really impressed me was the voice mail I received from Kim (while in flight) letting me know the field was clearing to VFR and I should have no problem getting in. THIS is above and beyond. Talk about looking out for their customers. First class operation.

Last night we flew in on a medical flight and landed after the front desk was closed, Noel the line service tech that was working went well beyond the call of duty he gave us a crew car let us into the building so we were out of the wind. It might not seem like much but his hospitality was top notch. It would be nice if every line service tech were as thoughtful as Noel.

While doing remote sensing on 4-2-09, clouds forced us to land and spend an unscheduled night at Salinas. We went to Central Coast. While I secured the airplane my operator went inside for transportation etc. In that short time, Cindy Fowler had arranged our accommodations, transportation and recommendations for dining. By the time I walked into their office, she was DONE! The next day we had some problems with our credit card and she handled that as she did the day before with amazing efficiency. On March 20, 2009, in a Citation Bravo, we missed the approach into MRY due to an unforecast drop in ceiling and visibility. Our business there involved getting our passengers to the Pebble Beach area to say goodbye to a dying relative. We diverted to SNS, radioed to Central Coast Aviation Services of our need to get a rental car quickly and that one of our passengers was elderly needing assistance. Upon our arrival we were marshaled up to a large SUV and 4 FBO employees. They quickly assisted us in our move into the SUV and sent us on our way. We returned 3 hours later and found our aircraft refueled and ready to go. By far the most "above and beyond" experience I have ever witnessed. To Cindy, all of the line personnel and to the FBO owner who refused payment for the use of the SUV even after I told him that I didn't put gas in it, I thank you for the best service in my 40 years of flying...And a great jet fuel price too!!!

We diverted into SNS in a Beechjet after the weather unexpectedly dropped below mins in Monterey (MRY). Within minutes of touchdown, Gary and his great crew at Central Coast had our passengers and their gear loaded up into the FBO's large SUV and drove them to their final destination. Extremely helpful people with great attitudes and fantastic fuel prices. Rental cars onsite- ready to go without notice. My wife and I had a stressful landing in Salinas (VFR with fog rolling in) while flying from So-Cal to Santa Rosa, CA (STS). Central Coast met us at our plane with a smile - and golf cart, and basically took care of us. They quickly got us a hotel at a rate we wanted, rented us an inexpensive car, and packed us off with bottled water and cookies! Flew into SNS last week for a week of fun in the Monterey Bay area. Cindy and the line crew at Central Coast Aviation were incredible! The parking is easy and quick at the terminal. The rental car I had ordered was brought out before I could tie down. We were on our way in five to ten minutes of arrival. Overnight fees are cheap. Returning the car was just as easy as picking up. We will return again.

These guys are FANTASTIC!!! We were likely coming in after hours and Rueben (sp?) gave us his cell number if we needed anything, he was there when we got in (almost midnight) fueled us up, offered to help arrange food for us, set us up with water and a complimentary bottle of wine, crew car if needed, etc. It would not be possible to out service this FBO and in particular Rueben!!! Been flying into the Monterey area for 30 years and did not discover how easy it was to go to SNS instead of Monterey Airport. Easy IFR approach and departures, no flying over the bay, only 20 minutes to Monterey. Central Coast is the best, call ahead for car and they will have it waiting at your plane, employees are very helpful, a great "FBO find". Only footnote, should call ahead on the morning of departure to verify Hertz delivered your car... Only once had problem in several years of flying to SNS. I would rank it at the top of the best FBO's in the west.

Central Coast Aviation Services is one of the BEST FBO's from a service standpoint that I have ever had the pleasure to have experienced. In the 30 years of flying (25 in corp) that I have experienced, this stop rates right up there with the all the ones I have had. That includes the international flying that I have done. When I arrived, there were 4 people to greet me at the jet. My cars were brought out with complementary sandwiches and COLD waters. Every service that you can possibly think of were already handled. I fueled right then and there with the most professional crew that I have seen. I wish that all FBOs's were as GREAT as this one. Even the owner came out to thank me for using his facility. If you ever get the chance to get out this way, you will not be disappointed.

Stopped in to pick up passenger, lunch, and fuel. Line staff was very helpful with parking, promptly bringing fuel truck out to line, and even offering bottles of cold water! Very nice operation. The terminal building is currently undergoing rennovation: painting, bathrooms closed (porta-potties!), fire sprinkler work, etc. Will definitely contribute to nicer atmosphere when completed. Landing Zone restaurant has good food, service a bit slow. I was overall very pleased with visit. I'll be back.

We run a flight school at Salinas Airport (KSNS) as well as rent and sale Light Sport Airplanes. CCAS takes fabulous care of our students and renters. Our customers constantly comment that they have never had an FBO be as responsive and take such good care of them as CCAS. As soon as a plane lands, CCAS staff is at the plane with bottled water, a truck ready to provide fuel, hot cookies, and car rental if the client needs that service. The staff (even the owner) will assist any of the businesses and customers at the airport or that come into the airport with travel arrangements, hotels, car rentals, and restaurant recommendations. They are wonderful to work with!

Fresh cookies, bottles of water, a bottle of cabernet with 100 gallons (an over $1/gal cheaper than nearby Monterey), a rental car waiting on the ramp, and the FBO owner himself making sure we were delighted, what's not to love about Central Coast Aviation? It's about 10 minutes further from Carmel than Monterey airport, but by the time you get processed at Monterey, it's just as quick to go to Salinas. Highly recommend.

The arrangements were made, the car and red carpet came out to greet me with directions and an itinerary of things to do in Salinas and Monterey, and there was water in the car and a free bottle of wonderful white wine for my pleasure. They have an 8 passenger limousine which they used to pick up our passengers 30 minutes away in Carmel free of charge. Gary and his crew do a fabulous job accomodating any need that you may have. Thanks to Gary and everyone taking care of us on our ferry flights heading out to Hawaii and beyond. We try to stop by as often as possible for the cheapest fuel in the area, unbelievable customer service and of course the free wine is certainly a plus! Recently a crewmember had forgot to give his rental car key back to the facility we had just departed, Gary went out of his way to get the key and info and fedex the key back for us... saving us at least an hour or so if we would have had to deal with it ourselves. Hands down, this is the best FBO in the country!

It's comforting to know that there is always someone on staff who's eager to assist and answer any questions about the local area. Flew in on 3/31/07 for my wife's b-day. Reservations were already made by them for a rental car, hotel, dinner and maps of the area to sightsee. Were greeted by the friendly professional staff and even given a bottle of wine. What a first class FBO. Thanks to Gary and the staff.

We were repositioning from Moffet Field and I was told to go here. At first I thought "great, some po-dunk airport" I was looking forward to going to Oakland. I could not have been more wrong. Central Coast has great fuel prices, some of the best service you could imagine and an excellent idea of what I need as a Corporate Pilot. The staff is professional, personable and knows what they are doing. Any future trips to this area will include a fuel stop at Central Coast!
