Flew into KSRQ for an overnight arriving yesterday January 29th. Coordinated day prior with Rectrix and could not be happier with the all around service. Met on their frequency and escorted to parking spot and greeted by line service. Luggage cart to refueling all was orchestrated like a seasoned pit crew. Flight line was clean and organized as was the front desk and all personnel. Arrived late today the 30th and settled the fuel billing and no charge for parking and tie-down. My wife saw the snack and drink lounge and grabbed a few goodies for flight back home. I was impressed! I wasn't in a corporate jet or in the family's PC12 (oh don't I wish!) it was a Cessna Cardinal RG and again the service was outstanding! There were 5 other jets on the ramp upon our arrival that were at various stages of departing. We were met with a GPU, and a fuel truck for our quick turn. Not a minute was wasted on the ramp with our arrival and departure. The interior of the FBO was top notch, something that our passengers were still talking about the next day. I have only used the competition across the field in the past and after a bad experience last week, I decided to give Rectrix a shot. Rectrix has my business! The Rectrix "experience" is one of the primary reasons we fly to Sarasota. The FBO is certainly one of the coolest facilities in the U.S., their fuel prices are always competitive, and their customer service (Meaghan & Torri) and ramp personnel (Jayde) are truly first class. We get the same impeccable service when we buy 20 gallons for our Cessna 350 as they provide for their 1000 gallon jet customers. Besides, it is always a kick to be greeted by their ramp driving a Segway up to the plane, and then having our rental car show up one minute later! Thanks for making flying so much fun! We brought our PC-12 in for a week and through several changes in our schedule they were nothing but accommodating. Top that off with great line guys who actually know where to ground a PC-12, fantastic CSR's and superb Jet-A prices this place is top shelf. Did I mention that they have free Dipin'-Dots ice cream? Still, this is one of the nicest FBO's I have ever visited and too bad that the price had to rise, but on the other hand, no fees with any fuel purchase.. Was supported with fast, professional service with a truck promptly on the line, very friendly reception inside, and an outstanding facility and lobby in the FBO. My experience at Rectrix has been outstanding. Even though the facility could be considered a jet center, everyone there has treated us little guys as if we were VIP's. From the moment we arrived in our homebuilt RV-4, we have received excellent service from the line crew to the ladies inside. I would like to say special thanks to the GM Greg Read who actually helped me push my RV into a hangar during the severe storm that passed through on Thurs. Rectrix was possibly the nicest FBO we have been in across the U.S. Maybe it was the contemporary facility design, every crew amenity possible, flawless line service, or the great service we received from Torri Brown and her customer service staff. They also booked us into one of the nicest Holiday Inn hotels at their FBO rate, which is just down the street and very convenient to the theater and museum complex near the airport. I moved our TBM monthly visits from another SRQ FBO last fall based on incredible fuel pricing and space available hangar for both car and aircraft. Fuel has gone back to market and I got surprise charge of $135/day for our TBM. Aircraft was moved out of hangar when contract aircraft returned. Attitude has really changed now that ramp is full. Pat we are very sorry to read that you felt you had an unpleasant experience on a recent trip to our facility. As you so correctly noted, we were selling fuel at cost for over a year to help our customers through the most difficult financial times since the great depression. As a result, we were able to save many flight departments from financial disaster. We feel real good about that as many jobs were saved as well! Unfortunately we cannot continue selling fuel at cost indefinitely, however we are always the least expensive on the field. Also we are waiving ramp fees with any fuel purchase and there is no minimum fuel purchase at this time. We ask all pilots to confirm services upon arrival at which time fees are relayed to the crew. At Rectrix we value all our of customers and believe that we have fair pricing. We certainly hope that you will continue to use Rectrix when flying into SRQ.

Fuel price was quite reasonable for a large airport. No handling fee with fill up. This was an exceptionally fine facility. Staff was very helpful in arranging a rental car and in making motel recommendations and reservations according to our particular requirements. Anna Brown, at the desk was especially helpful in this regard. Pilot lounge was comfortable, and adjoining quiet room provided recliners for napping. There were numerous free refreshments including coffee, sodas, cookies, and small snack bags, ice cream, and candy. My wife and I flew in on Sunday, 21 November 2010. The lineman was as helpful and friendly as could be. Courtney at the front desk was wonderful and helped us with our rental car and helped us find accommodations. We found a really great small beach resort on Bradenton Beach, the Bungalow Beach Resort, reasonable, very clean, and right on the beach. They did not charge us for tiedown for the three nights we were there, and the fuel was very reasonable, especially for a large FBO. We will be back. I should have posted this much sooner. Stopped in for fuel on the home from the keys last February. Fuel prices were very low in comparison. CSR said the management was trying to afford the 100LL guys a way to keep flying in these tough times. I also noticed Jet A similarly priced. Fast forward to today. I called to arrange a rental car. I asked about overnight parking fees for my Aerostar. I was told that there would be no overnight fees with a fuel purchase. I explained I would be there 4 nights. Nope, no charge. The best part of this is the service is not discounted at all. This is one of the nicest, most accommodating FBOs that I have been to. I cannot say enough about these guys/gals. They are great! I need to "piggy-back" on previous comments. The service here was top-notch. No problem unsolvable; and proactive assistance was always at the ready. On arrival, the pre-arranged rental car proved to be too small for our passengers and their luggage, but Meaghan took only moments to secure a larger vehicle to get them on their way. Torri was right there with suggestions for restaurants for a bite of lunch, and introduced us to the "Dippin Dots" (a dangerously delicious new ice cream). And the other gal, I think her name was Ashley, handled all of our other logistical and accommodation needs. It was a distinctively pleasant transition of an exceptional FBO. Rectrix gets highest approval from me. An unexpected engine problem resulted in my plane being grounded for weeks at KSRQ while waiting on the repairs. Rectrix so very kindly and carefully hangared the plane and upon completion of the repairs and my return to Atlanta (home) did not charge me hangar rent. I cannot thank everyone them enough!! Rectrix has got to be the best FBO I have experienced in my years of flying. Our company travels the East Coast weekly, and nothing compares to the all around great experience. Not enough space for the details, but: spotless facility (the girls cleaned constantly), complimentary drinks/snacks, Nintendo Wii (sweet), ample space and incredibly cheap gas. Unparalleled at a busy field. Even arranged to stay late for us when delayed by storms out of Boca. I have to say that out of all the FBO's that I fly into, Rectrix is top notch. The pilot rest facilities are awesome as well as all of the amenities at no additional cost. I would also like to say that the girls up front do an awesome job catering to anything you need and always with a warm and friendly smile! Keep up the good work! Stopped here for a couple of nights while doing aerial surveys in the area. Rectrix is top notch. The facility is new, modern, spacious, and practical. Everyone that works there is nice and they always try to help as best they can. There is a free snack bar with coke, water, tea, cookies, chocolates, peanuts, etc... There were no handling fees while I was there. The gas is about as cheap as you can get. I could rattle on some more, but I just can't say enough good things about this place. Rectrix is a top of the line FBO. They provide 5 star services in a top-notch facility. Fuel prices are great, complimentary snacks and drinks are provided, and no ramp fee! Wonderful service! The linestaff, front desk and other staff are polite, friendly, and just make your day. I arrived late and was happily greeted by a smiling lineman. Last Saturday I had the opportunity to fly to Sarasota with my friend Joey and we stopped at Rectrix. Probably one of the best FBOs I have ever been to. The customer service was top notch, the place was very clean and neat, they had free refreshments and even though it was a busy day, they had our warrior topped off in a reasonable amount of time. I had occasion to visit and park at Rectrix on 2/11/10. I had contacted them prior to flying down and was pleasantly surprised to find that they waive fees for first time visitors. The service was exceptional and conducted in ultra-modern facilities. All of the personnel were friendly, helpful and competent. On arrival, early evening, we were greeted on the ramp with a smile and welcome, helped with our baggage and provided with our rental car. Which incidentally was an upgrade at no additional charge. We were also informed that the management had just decided to sell fuel at cost as a way of helping their customers in these tough economic times. Ashley and Jorge were great at helping us find parts and getting us fixed on a Saturday! We got a flat tire right before take-off and had to get towed back to the FBO. Everyone was focused on getting us fixed doing whatever it took to get us going again. Jorg (the mechanic) was super nice, coming in and working with us all day to find a part and get us fixed. They even kept the kids entertained while we waited. Thanks Rectrix, Ashley, Jorge and everyone else! I will definitely be back! Stopped by the other day to check them out, as we do business in SRQ, and was very pleasantly surprised! Curt, an ex military jet pilot, fueled us and did an excellent job, and was quick. Ashley handled the customer service, and was also excellent. Free coffee, and snacks, GREAT fuel prices, and none of those nuisance ramp fees. We'll be back. I just spent two weeks at Rectrix, SRQ with a C210. It is definitely a big iron facility, but I felt I was treated just like the big guys. Service was great, beautiful facility, fuel prices were very competitive and they waive all fees for first time visitors. I'll be back even with the fees it would be a good experience.
