Sky Safety has closed as an FBO.... Too bad no one on here posted that fact, as I wandered around on the ramp before I was finally directed to San Antonio Aviation, which is the only FBO now on the field... Sky Safety is now only a Flight School

A very good experience here at the Sky Safety FBO. We changed our trip plans and decided to come into San Antonio. After calling ahead only by a few hours they arranged a rental car within minutes. The arrival and departure items were handled easily and quickly by a very good and cheerful staff. Even the coffee was fresh brewed for us so we'd have a hot cup on the flight. We'll be sure to use this FBO again for future trips.

2-6 July 2008. Parked right at the door, treated like VIP's. I had called a few days before we arrived and Sabrina would have had the cab there if I'd wanted it right away. First class handling, fueled right away, cab called when we wanted it and got a phone call telling me that the winds at SSF had come up and were blowing 25G35, wanted to know if I wanted to hangar our Bonanza. They really looked after our interest as if it was their interest. I recommend them to anyone passing near San Antonio they are great.

I recently enjoyed the hospitality of Sky Safety FBO. Before my trip from the DFW area I called ahead. Sabrina was very helpful in providing advice on how best to get into downtown and recommending a hotel for our stay. She took our arrival time and tail number and made hotel reservations (at a preferred rate) and called me back with a confirmation number. Upon arrival I was met by Stewart who helped me tie my aircraft down and secure a canopy cover. Inside Jessica told me that she had already called a taxi for me. Both were very friendly and helpful. When we returned the next afternoon. Jessica and Stewart had the bill ready, the plane serviced and we were ready to launch in short order. They did a super job, the facilities were clean and I would recommend them without reservation. Thanks!

I can't believe how great the folks at Sky Safety are. After a long flight to San Antonio, with far too many stops, a smiling face was the last thing that I expected. Considering I was after hours and the lineman had been waiting for me. Thanks to most of the 6 stops on the way from KMKE I was about an hour late. The lineman parked me right up front, smiled and greeted me, and then helped me with my bags. The great folks at Sky Safety had a car waiting for me when I got in, and a fueled up, and ready to fly plane for me when I left. Thanks to all of you great folks. Go to Sky Safety to see how great an FBO should be.

Not only does Sky Safety have the best fuel prices in San Antonio, their service is second to none. When we landed Sabrina met us at the plane attentive to our every need. We arrive early and Sabrina promptly called for our rental car, which Esther from Enterprise brought immediately. Both on our arrival and departure Sabrina provided the three of us with water and inquired as to any other needs we might have. I had flown from Washington, DC to St. Augustine FL, and we were now in San Antonio, TX and so far through out our trip to Las Vegas, NV we have never felt so attended to. Thank you Sabrina and Sky Safety for your part in making our flight a pleasure.

Went on a spur of the moment to the final two basketball tourney and researched KSSF through AirNav. Best thing possible as they got rental car and motel reservation at last minute, and service was great. Thanks Sabrina.

The folks at Sky Safety were great while I was in San Antonio last week. Danielle, especially, went out of her way to assist me in my lowly Warrior. I can't recommend them enough! Friendly, great service, and cheap fuel!

No longer owned by Check Six. Great airport easy to get in and out of. Tower folks very helpful. Nice lounge, but No Coffee today!!! Self service $1.50 cheaper than best at SAT. Easy quick cab drive to river walk with less traffic for about $20. For my Cherokee 6 nightly tie down is $5/ night with one night waived for full service. SS pump at approach end of RW 14. This is the place to go if coming to San Antonio. Lack of coffee though is a safety issue for me!

Textbook example of how to run an FBO. Everything from the first call, to the last wave on taxi out was perfect. Good fuel prices, simple but well-appointed pilot/planning lounge. Nice staff. Clean and new crew car let me use overnight (I put in $25 gas). Helped with bags, and gave me a map to get into town, and anything else they could do. Very well run, I suggest you go out of your way to stop at Sky Safety when in S TX. 5 stars!

I had made prior arrangements with Sky Safety to have a rental car (enterprise) for us. Michael at Sky Safety said the car would be parked at the FBO with the keys in the glove box. Ok, no problem - sounded fine to us. I also asked them to top off the plane. We found the car but there were no keys. I called the after hours number and was not able to get a hold of anyone. Luckily the tower operator, John, was super nice and gave us a ride to Enterprise at the international airport. He wouldn't accept even gas money. On return Sunday night they did top the tank as requested. I talked to them about the rental car problem on Monday and they seemed pretty disinterested in the problem or apologizing about the foul-up. The guy I talked to on Monday told me that they don't leave the keys in the car. Enterprise told me the same thing. These guys need to get their policy straight. Stinson is a dark and lonely place after hours.

Visited SSF over spring break. Eric offered to set up hotel and cab and had excellent follow up. Unfortunately Eric's shift ended by the time I arrived (I was late). We had to stay in town an extra day while storms rolled through and was surprised to find my plane on the wrong side of a locked gate. They are closed Sunday but you can get the code from the after hours fuel number on the gate. Overall, a nice facility. Would recommend.
