We stopped over at Golden Isles during Nemo, and had a very good experience. They provided a courtesy car for short term use. We had one night free for buying 10 gal fuel. Hampton is the closest hotel but for the same price there are other hotels on the beach or close to the city center with many restaurants within walking distance. Golden Isles has lot of fun aviation related items for sale.

It’s my home base. This FBO goes all out to make this a nice place. Competitive fuel prices, several crew cars, great line crew, excellent shop on the field, very nice and responsive customer service reps, plenty of hangar space and tie down space. Excellent runways and huge well lighted ramp. When I travel to other FBOs I notice the difference. This FBO is tops!

Had a very nice experience with this FBO. They had nice facilities, free crew car, maps, and most important a very friendly staff. They even got us extra paper towels and a portable vacuum cleaner to help clean our plane! Give them a shot! AMG Inc.

Spent the weekend at Sea Island for some much needed R & R. Kept my R-44 helicopter overnight. The folks at Golden Isles Aviation could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Lonnie is clearly the Superman of line guys; he spent an incredible amount of time with me helping with a dead battery on the R-44 even though the airport was gearing up for the upcoming PGA Tour event this coming week. Meredith and Kimberly working behind the desk are unbelievably nice and clearly take pride in doing everything they can to make customers feel at home and ensure pilots get what they need to make for an efficient and enjoyable stop. They offer courtesy cars and there are two rental car agencies in the FBO for longer stays. It's worth stopping in just for the friendliness and chatting it up with the staff. I will certainly be back!

Just like John Hand's experience. The aircraft owner owns a home in SSI. We are in and out a fair amount. I usually purchase fuel however due to load I could not take on any fuel. I was on the ramp less than 10 mins and had to go in and pay a ramp fee. So much for me buying anymore fuel from this greedy FBO. If had used their facilities would have been one thing, but a super quick turn...... We do not run a cheap flight department I always tip the ramp personal, which I did today. Go find some one else to gouge.

Flew from Jekyll Island (09J) on July 1st to get fuel and brunch on the way back to Atlanta. The heat was in the 100's already and when I went in the lady at the desk handed me a clean soft towel to dry off with. Then gave me keys to go get some brunch while they fueled my plane. Great Service even though they were very busy with traffic.

Very nice courtesy car with a relaxed duration. Thank you Jeanne! The hotel informed the van to pick us up at the wrong Charleston airport, but the line guys at GIA made my 9 year olds day with the hour delay and even came to rescue us when the battery died! You as a team made the Peeps day!

I've had to divert here twice. Both times the service was exceptional. Crew car & hotel room ready before I even had the plane secured for the night. Hangar space was available at a reasonable rate. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Golden Isles now makes KSSI a stop of choice, not just a diversion.

Flew in for lunch on a Sunday -- we were met by a follow-me golf cart after landing. No ramp fee for our short stay. It was a quick walk to Southern Soul BBQ so we didn't ask about a car. A good experience.

Planned a weekend trip there recently with a large group and I travel there quite often. We came in on Friday and I opted to top off my Navajo Chieftain there (even though I didn't need to top it off) and my pilot took the plane back to its home base. Spent over $600 on fuel. When my pilot returned on Sunday to pick us up for the same trip, we didn't need fuel because we had a full load of people and bags. Regardless, They insisted on collecting a "ramp fee" for the pick up. I made the point that I had just purchased over $600 in fuel on the trip down Friday, and the response was that their "policy" was a daily policy regardless of what we did the same weekend. They also tried to collect the fee for a turbo prop twin (nearly double), though the Navajo is an obviously a piston twin. Frankly, these are the types of experiences that make us want to take our business elsewhere.

Was at SSI to get married this past weekend. Upon arrival in Grumman Cheetah we were treated as if we arrived in a Gulfstream V. Very friendly ramp crew that offered to fuel us and they helped with our bags by granting us access to the plane with the rental car. We will be back!

Golden Isles continues to be one of the best FBO's anywhere. We stop there once or twice a year. Highly recommended.

Landed at SSI twice recently. First time in late August when I was being chased by CB's on my way down to Miami from Vermont. The line crew wheeled me to the FBO despite heavy rain and Amanda right away got accommodations and transport to the hotel. This past weekend, we flew in for a day of sight seeing. Great stop once again. We will be back.

Despite being very busy, Golden Isles provided a crew car, map of the area, great recommendations for restaurants, and ran us back and forth to the aircraft. I'd be very pleased to use their services again...
