I have been in 4 times in the last two months. Each time they have been great. I cannot recommend higher their operation. As just got a new customer near them, I will be back and look forward to seeing them again.

Had to stop for weather on 4-11-08. I called ahead and got the machine but they called me back with in 15 minutes and promised me they'd have a hangar for me. I got there about 6 PM and Eddie gave me the crew car for the night. Tony opened the office 30 minutes early the next day (Saturday) and I was on my way. The service was friendly and efficient. These guys care about single engine pilots. I'd stop there again...

An agreeable and efficient lineman met us on the ramp. Received the Top Off discount for fuel and got a crew car for an hour or so. Great Airport with 7000 feet and an ILS. I will go back whenever possible. AirNav is a great site too!

Nice people, I have my helicopter hangared at SVH and can say only positive things about their staff. I have arrived late several times, they offer to stay over at no charge to get the ship back into the hangar - never a single time have I called Unicom and not received a response!

Flew to Statesville to drop off fellow pilot purchasing a plane on the field. Called ahead and inquired about getting fuel after hours. Without hesitation, Thomas stated that he would be there... what time would I arrive? No overtime charge, answered the CTAF on approach and provided what I consider to be the ultimate in customer service... nice, polite, and available. Statesville Flying Service is a star in the hat of GA.

Stayed in town for two days. Service was above and beyond expectations. Fuel prices were suprisingly low! All trips to the East I will make it my fuel stop of choice!

Absolutely a first class operation. This is what Southern hospitality used to be like everywhere. This FBO does it right!

Nice people, easiest field in the area to get a rental car. Also loaned us a courtesy car on another trip.

Nice FBO. Drove up from Florida for vacation and got checked out in there 172. CFI was nice, flight was short and to the point, but the aircraft then went down for 5 days for maintenance, only got to fly it one other time. Flew up again later in my own plane and service was good. Allowed us to use the courtesy car after hours and airplanes were fueled when we got back. Called back the next day to ensure they got the keys and they were very kind. Would come back again, but fuel prices at nearby airports are lower. Good FBO.

I guess the previous gentlemen was having a bad day; however, SFS has always been a first class operation and I have never had a problem or concern, he should of called the manager first.

There are a lot of nice comments about these guys, but they must have been having an off day today. They did not seem very knowledgeable about aircraft or how to work the cash register. I was very concerned when I heard one of them say, "hey, fill up that twin engine airplane on the front row." Did they mean the Lear, C310, King Air, or Brasilia? Guess they got it right. The manager should give these guys a few days of training and a course on aircraft recognition. I was surprised at the lack of amenities as I am sure they cater to a lot of NASCAR clients and personnel. At least they had the Internet!
Response from Phil Hazel, Statesville Flying Servicee I'm sorry Mr. Ward didn't feel confident in the folks we have working here. We have some new employees that are in training - both on the line and behind the counter. With respect to amenities, the runway expansion and ILS commissioning have certainly increased traffic levels at Statesville. A terminal expansion, additional services and expanded hangar space is in the works. I hope Mr. Ward will note these improvements on future visits.

I stopped in Statesville for an overnight on my way back to VA from TX in an Ercoupe. I arrived on Thursday night, and the lineman was out to the airplane to move it to overnight tie-down before I had even gathered my bags. The local hotels don't have a shuttle, but they called a taxi for me. I was weathered in the next day, and at 3 pm when I decided to give up hope for the day, the gentleman at the desk offered me the crew car for the evening instead of having to call a cab again. Top notch service for my day and a half visit. I will stop by Statesville in the future, and if you do, make sure you try to find and talk to Doodle Brown. He'll surely brighten your day.

I stopped by for a quick turn around. The plane was fueled without delay and the guy at the counter (I didn't catch his name) was exceedingly gracious. While the line guy told me the gas was $3.40 per gallon, in fact when all the other taxes were added in, it was basically $4 per gallon.

Stopped in to drop a passenger off, refuel and grab a quick lunch. Service was very good from the lineman to the counter. Was provided a nice courtesy car for the short drive into town for lunch. Nice facility staffed with nice people, I will be back!
