Made our usual fuel stop at Avenger enroute to Austin from New Mexico. Same great friendly service. This stop was Nov 2. Good fuel prices and quick turn. They have everything you need and are very helpful.

Landed at Sweetwater while transiting between T82 (Fredericksburg, TX) to KAXX (Angel Fire, NM). Bob met us at the self-serve pump and wouldn't even let me pump my own fuel. Bob gave us the history of the airfield, which is the home of the Women Air Force Service Pilots and National WASP museum. Then, to top it off, we had a chance to see, touch and sit in the Vultee BT-13 and the Fairchild PT-19. I expected to get a good Texas welcome at a small-town airport, but Bob and the folks at Avenger field went way beyond my expectations. My wife said that the next time we are traveling through the area, we are going to budget time in the trip to go through the entire museum, which is adjacent to the airfield. If you stop in here, you won't be disappointed.

I stopped here again on Oct 27, 2017. Found everything to be very friendly and welcoming. Wind was a little high, but self-serve fuel worked great and guys at the airport had just come back from town and offered to share their lunch. I will be back.

What a nice stop! They've gone to only self-serve fuel but Bob was out there helping anyway. He also took me into town for a meal at Allen's Family Meals! One must eat there!!
