Stopped to get the always lowest priced gas in Southern California. My tire was low and the good fellow from CP Aviation let me use the portable air tank to fill it up. I tried to give him money but he refused. Great folks, great service, great airport!

What a neat airport. I stopped just because I saw there was an on-field restaurant. There were six Citabrias outside the FBO. Had a great breakfast at the restaurant. Fuel prices were low. There were lots of neat planes around. What's more to like?

This airport should be on EVERY pilot's "must-see" list. It's got everything you could want: loads of interesting and unique airplanes, friendly pilots who live in their hangar/apartments on field (including Steve McQueen's old hangar), a tasty on-field cafe, lots of friendly dogs, and a rental car operation right across the street. Do note that the airport is unlit, so night operations aren't authorized.
