The line person topped my aircraft without asking if I needed fuel or how much. The pricing was questionable. Attitude was apathetic.

The linesman wasn't watching what he was doing while he refueled the helicopter and dumped at least a gallon of Avgas all over the helicopter. The rest of the FBO was really well kept and the staff was very helpful. They lent us a free crew car to go into town and get dinner and they had a large conference room for us to do our flight planning in.

I fly into TAC Air at TXK in a C90GT 1 or 2 times a week. They are always professional and take great care of us. Never had a problem there. Good people and great line service.

Take the crew car and go to Big Jake's for some tasty BBQ. Fantastic service and great attitudes make TAC Air a great stop. Very nice lobby equipped with all the bells and whistles for which TAC Air and other high end FBOs are known for. Friendly service just adds to the experience. I would recommend TAC Air TXK for a fuel stop or overnight destination. Thanks guys!

Landed just before closing on a Sunday evening. Anna and crew were super. Booked us a room and then called a cab. Not their fault cab service sucks in Texarkana. Great, great service. Can't compliment the weekend night crew enough! Next morning, complete opposite. Little girl at front desk was not as friendly. No one else around to help with anything. No excuse for the day crew's attitude--especially with the prices they charge.

From Jim Spencer on 28-Feb-2008
FBO personnel are very courteous, but the operation seems much too grandiose for Texarkana. The $10 charge for not buying fuel is taking advantage of a captive market, as there's only one small transient parking area.

I like TAC Air at TXK. I am there quite often on business and they have always been nice and competent. Facility is good, with a "free" conference room that is convenient for meetings. I usually rent from Hertz on line and it is a short (1 minute) walk to the main terminal to get the car. (Though the front desk always offers to call and have it delivered.) Fuel is high, relatively speaking, though not shockingly so. Overall, a good FBO.

*Follow Up* The line manager called me yesterday to apologize for the fueling mishap. He was very professional and just wanted to make sure that this incident would not keep me from returning to TAC Air TXK.... Which it would not have! But with their typical service and the phone call it's a no-brainer. TAC Air at TXK...A great place to stop!

Nice place that is representative of other TAC Air facilities. My only setback was that they "forgot" to fuel the plane while there on an overnight. I had to help the line person fuel the plane while standing in the pouring rain...With my passengers standing by with bags in hand.

From John Schweers on 07-May-2007
Yes, service was prompt and friendly, HOWEVER. . .They ding you $35 dollars per hour if you have the crew car more than 90 minutes. This seems punitive to me. By the time you drive to the restaurant, eat and get back, well, let's just say the waitress better be quick or it'll be a $135 hamburger.

From Don Ellisor on 03-Apr-2007
First visit to a TAC Air facility. Very professional and friendly. Quick turn around fueling a Cessna 337. Can't say enough about their honesty. After I left they realized that I'd been overcharged on fuel. The manager called me that day and had it corrected.

I have been to TAC Air in TYS and CHA. This one maintains those high standards. The people are friendly and responsive; even to us single engine drivers. The only thing missing on my trip through here on 2/10/07 was the fresh cookies.

From Brian Bragg on 17-Oct-2006
TAC Air runs a very professional operation. Employees are friendly and attentive to a pilot's needs. I've visited their Fort Smith operation frequently, but had not been to KTXK in several years until this Angel Flight mission. Clean, modern facilities at Texarkana, and employees just as sharp as could be. Good cookies and iced tea (the TAC Air standard treat), and a very nice Angel Flight fuel discount, too.

S/S's are not new to me but two of us could not find the pump ON-OFF switch, as it wasn't labeled. I found a heavy-duty switch with writing about hazardous locations, etc., but was reluctant to just throw the thing. With ramp temps over 100 deg and a full bladder I was frustrated. I taxied to the FBO, and got someone to show me. I said the switch should be labeled and when I came back a few days later it was. There is no power switch to retract the fuel hose so be advised it's a recoil operated deal like most grounding straps are - but no sign as to that, either. The FBO is pricey but nice and the folks are great! Nothing worse than expensive stuff and a crappy attitude that goes with it. Not at TacAir.

From Graham V. Smith on 19-Jul-2006
Dropped in for lunch, having fueled up 20 minutes away at a place where lunch was not obtainable. So I couldn't buy more than a few gallons of gas, but nonetheless the people at Tac Air loaned us the crew car and were very welcoming. I'd stop here again.

Wow! FBO staff treated this Cherokee pilot like a charter captain! We were beat from a full day of avoiding boomers and the helpful staff booked us a hotel, arranged transport, suggested a restaurant and babied our little plane. Even ATC is nice in Texarkana!

From Larry Stein on 30-Apr-2006
I must echo all the good comments below. First rate service - all the staff I encountered were falling over themselves to be helpful. Definitely will stop here again.

From Mike Salmon on 16-Apr-2006
Landed April 15 in our Skylane looking for quick turn around fuel service. EXCELLENT JOB. Quick, friendly, courteous personnel and a real nice facility. Many thanks. Now if they could only have done something about the terrible headwinds we encountered going west...
