Definitely worth making the trip! Good food, great museum next door, and good service from Tower.

Stop in for breakfast and try the sausage gravy and biscuits! And you can't beat the prices.

Flew the Bo in on 8/28/11 and the food was delicious. I ate a hamburger and fries and my wife ate a sandwich. I don't know how they cook the fries but they are amazing. We will definitely be back again.

Based at Tyler & eat at the Skyline Cafe at least once a week. Food is outstanding. Ambiance is excellent with the Air Museum next door & frequent visitors from Fort Hood in vintage Cobras, Black Hawks, and some occasional heavy lift helicopters. Great service from owners Larry & Becky. He waits on tables & she is the master chef. Make sure you order the carrot cake.

The family and I just got back from a "$100 burger" run to KTYR. They opened a new cafe in the old main FBO building (below the tower), called Skyline Cafe. You can park at Tyler Jet Center and walk about 50 yards across the parking lot to the cafe. The food is really good, priced reasonably and the staff was very friendly. Mostly burgers, sandwiches, salads and some amazing fries! Stop in for Sonny's Steak & Cheese, because it really is as good as they say, and we need more tasty, clean and friendly fly-in locations with on-side dining like Skyline!
