Stopped in for a quick fuel stop on my trip west. Great place. It was 11 pm and they had my C172 fueled in 5 minutes and I was on my way!

Did an unplanned RON here Monday evening due to WX. Airport has a control tower & ground freqs as of September 2011 so be sure to get updated info. FBO folks were outstanding and really took care of my wife & I. We received a discount with the hotel through the FBO, and they came and got us in the shuttle within 20 minutes. They even put my little 172 into a hangar so we could get an early start the next morning and not worry about frost issues. Everyone was very accommodating and my wife now loves to travel by GA, it's so much friendlier than commercial. The ground and tower controllers were happy to coordinate a handoff to center for me and were very friendly. I am very happy we stopped at UNV, beautiful setting too.

Unfortunately this FBO missed the mark this past Saturday for the Alabama-Penn state game. Several aircraft waited over five hours for fuel, little or no transportation for crews to get lunch. Nice people but very under staffed and equipped for big event.Response from Beth Lerew, Customer Service Representative, University Park Airport The FBO received well in excess of 200 planes in less than 6 hours on Saturday, 09/10. All were parked safely and efficiently. Passengers were ferried to the FBO from their parking places to check in at the front counter. Deli trays, salads, and cookies were served at no charge to flight crews (to serve approximately 120 guests) as well as coffee and tea. Thousands of dollars in catering requests were correctly delivered and distributed to the appropriate crews. All considered the staff at University Park General Aviation including management, line service and front desk personnel were on the mark and proud to serve our customers. Thank you

Flew in this past Saturday to visit my daughter, only there for three hours did not buy fuel. Treated better than I have ever been. Should be a role model for all FBOs.

Stopped in to use the crew car to drive across the hill to Ridge Soaring Gliderport. Was only charged a $10 landing fee for a Seminole and didn't buy gas.

Flew in for the MSU Vs. PSU game (Go Green/Go White). MSU won the game to be the big ten champs! Service was great. They marshaled me in and had the AC power available for both my engine heaters (top air temp 38). Fuel was cheap and hospitality tops. Will be back in two years for the next MSU/PSU match-up.

Stopped here to drop off my cousin at Penn State. Also came here last year for a home game. Unicom answers your call in, and gives you the winds and active runway. Staff very helpful. As said below, the self-serve fuel is at the east end on taxiway H.

I got a chance to fly in there this summer. The line service was great and the staff was extremely friendly. I actually managed to hitch a ride into town with the guy working the desk and even though I had a place to stay that night he offered to put me up on his couch. The only way to top that trip would've been if I brought my golf clubs and one of my PSU alum brothers as well. If you're new to State College, I can't recommend The Waffle Shop enough (some locations are better than others, the one on Atherton's my favorite).
