This place is awesome!! Flew in at about 10PM and with our luck they were closing, but the owner helped us out tremendously! She called the airport manager to get the gate code that allowed us to get back to the ramp later that night AND she drove us to another restaurant. Honoluana is located right on the ramp and their menu looked incredible. Look forward to returning!

The food was great. The bartender was hot. The owner drove my friends and I to the near by beach. What more could you ask for? Don't miss a chance to eat at this place. What a great atmosphere. We will be back for sure. Ps get the crab cake.

Stopped in to Honoluana Island Grill during a quick turnaround to Marathon. The owner was kind enough to get us a sandwich to go. Best club sandwich I've had in a while. I would have liked to stay longer and had a nice dinner. See you next time!

My friend Bruce recommended that I try out the Honoluana grill. So my friend Jen and I decided to go check it out. We arrived at VNC today and weren't sure where it was at since they had a WWII plane parked in front of the restaurant. So we parked by the Venice Jet Center and one of their linesmen towed our airplane for us and no ramp charge! Very friendly of them! We got inside the VJC and they pointed us in the right direction. When we entered the Honoluana Island Grill, my first impression was "Wow, this is a really nice place!" They had a Sunday brunch going on with a lot of good food and a good price. I will definitely be flying back to the HIG! I highly recommend it.

What a difference new owners can make. The staff was friendly and informal, and the energy in the place was terrific. Not at all your usual burger and chips place. Chef Ron, fresh off a high-end restaurant stint as executive chef somewhere near Rotunda, did not disappoint us with his take on BBQ ribs and Asian salad. The fried banana (in an egg roll shell) dessert was absolutely unique and a real treat. We were also pleasantly surprised to see the spirit and atmosphere on Friday nights with the live music and lively crowd. We look forward to future visits to try lots of other choices on the menu.

We flew in last night, a little late. The owner and staff were very friendly and kept the kitchen open late - full menu. The food and service were excellent. We'll be back.

We stopped by for dinner last week and had a great time. The new owners have really made a great improvement. The staff was great as well as the food!

Just returned to the Honoluana after being away for a while and discovered that there are new owners. I was very pleased that the quality of the food and value for your dollar was right up there where it was before or better. My wife and I enjoyed the entertainment on Tuesday and Friday and plan to make the Honoluana our new place to go to for great food, fun people and just all around good times. Performers, Koko Ray and Big Daddy bands were fun to sing and dance to. Had an opportunity to speak with the new owners, Jay & Marilyn and Chef Ron, their son. If any one can improve on a good thing, I believe they can and will. There was a real upbeat attitude from the servers and the public in general. Very interesting and nice people and we look forward to more good times at the Honoluana Island Grill.

We ate at the Honoluana Island Grill today. Was there a few months ago and it was great. Today a lady who told us she was one of the new owners seated us. The Grill was sold 2 weeks ago. We could tell the difference. It was noon and they were out of buns, mayo & swiss cheese. The quality of food & service has changed. Needless to say we're sorry to see the old owners leave. Next time we'll go back to the Cockpit Cafe--- always a good lunch.

I was amazed by how great the food was - even my wife who is a major food snob enjoyed it. We had originally planned on going to Sharky's but they were closed for a private party. I later went to Sharky's and liked Honoluana much better. The BBQ sandwich was great - and it was huge! Will absolutely come back.

Honoluana Island Grill has the VERY BEST Chicken Quesadillas in THE WORLD try them. One of the female bartenders is REAL easy on the eyes as well. I'll DEFINITELY be back.

The Florida wing of Van's Airforce flew into VNC for lunch (35 RV's and 64 People). The Honoluana grill was just great in spite of us undercounting by half. Good food and friendly service. We will be back.

Excellent food, great atmosphere, probably the best on airport restaurant I have been to yet. I've been there twice and tied down at Venice Jet Center. They don't charge any landing fees, handling fees or tie-down fees for a local lunch stop. A line guy there even zoomed up with a golf court to help me with my 87 year old father who has a hard time getting out of the plane let alone walking from the ramp to the FBO. Fast, friendly service and huge portions.... Don’t even think about ordering an appetizer unless you have 4 people to share it with; I highly recommend the Hawaiian Jerk Chicken. The Honoluana Grill is currently my favorite "$100.00 hamburger" and I will probably frequent there as often as my flying budget permits.

GREAT PLACE!!! The food is great, the atmosphere is great and I would highly recommend. If you stop here, however, don't go to Venice Jet for fuel... See my comment there. Fuel is the same price from FL Flight.
