I stopped in Van Wert again on my way north. (weather again) Great place very friendly. The guys working there were both very friendly and interesting. WIsh I could have stayed longer but when the clouds part it's time to go.

Stopped here to pick up a patient for a Lifeline Pilots flight and couldn't have been happier! Tom was very helpful and accommodating which helped make the patient's transportation very smooth. This is a great county airport with nice wide-open GPS approaches to both runways. This facility is a great example of what makes general aviation flying truly a gift to behold.

Tom Dunno, the airport manager, is simply the best. Tom bends over backwards to help in anyway he can. I just love this little airport.

Called from 10 miles out and was asked if I'd need gas. Someone was waiting at the pump when I landed. Walked into FBO and someone else came out to ask if my plane was being taken care of yet. They seem eager to please.

Flew in for another visit with family in Decatur, IN. As always the VNW people were great. We jumped out of the plane and they were there to tie down, as we left. Next day we called ahead and the plane was fueled up and put in the hangar so we could load up out of the rain. We fly home 2+ times a year and will always land at VNW. Great people, great airport. Thanks - The Richardson’s

I stopped here on my out and back from a cross-country trip and once again the service is fantastic. The Amish hauler is available for short trips to and from the fast food joints and the couch in the pilot's lounge makes for a good bed if you have to be stuck there.

I can't begin to describe how great this airport is. I feel like I've been based here for years. Decent price for fuel and the hospitality is great. I stop here every time I pass through here and will continue to do so.

The FBO Manager Jennifer was awesome as usual. Stopped for fuel on March 7th and she helped me with the self-service pump. FBO is comfy and there's an honors-system soda and snacks service. VNW is a local treasure for the town and needs to be nurtured and grown as the local community experiences growth.
