Stopped in for maintenance. Quite impressed with the maintenance experience -- they get 5 1/2 stars. Less impressed with line service...Had to sit on the ramp running and call in on the radio to get someone to park us, launched myself (they did get a marshaller out there after engine start) - 2 stars. CSRs were friendly and helpful - didn't have much interaction with them.

Clay Lacy is an excellent FBO. Adam Elzinga, the manager, runs it as a customer service organization and it shows from the line service personnel to the front desk. I'm a small operator, (a TBM turboprop) and don't buy huge quantities of fuel - I get as much as we can - about 200 gals - but we get the same service as the GV's on the ramp. Fuel pricing is better than average for the Van Nuys Airport. But the service - from fuel, ramp space, rental cars, etc. - is spectacular.

Always enjoy arriving at Clay Lacy.. Super service and always something new to see.. Stayed at Aortal next door --a few hundred yards away.. And Got food there.. Clay Lacy is a true Icon of Aviation.. It's a pleasure to visit! Used a Hawker 800 that day, but I'm sure you would get just as good service in something smaller.. Or larger..
