Forget stopping here if you are a prop plane - no transient parking - expensive fuel. Courtesy car??? - forget it.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Skytrails Aviation at KVNY and was thrilled with the experience. I called ahead to arrange a rental car, and it was waiting for me at the ramp when I parked. There was no ramp fee for my 182, and the $25/night parking fee was waived with my fuel purchase (at a very reasonable price). Furthermore, when we got stuck at KVNY for an extra night because of bad weather at our destination airport, the staff offered the crew rest quarters at Maguire Aviation South for the night (which is owned by the same company as Skytrails). I felt like a VIP the entire time I was there. Thanks Skytrails and Maguire!

I had a terrific time at Skytrails! I have had to travel to Van Nuys twice this week on business, and Skytrails was there to make it easy. Janine handled all the details, and made my work pleasant - I was actually laughing to myself on the way back at how my work had seemed so daunting but Skytrails and specifically Janine made it so enjoyable that I couldn't feel bad for myself anymore! I will _ALWAYS_ go back to Skytrails; they have made me feel like such a first class person, regardless of the fact that my single-engine piston plane doesn't use as much fuel as some of the other beautiful planes there. I know that one day when I have moved up the ranks and need somewhere to park and fuel my Boeing Business Jet - Skytrails will be the place. For now, they welcome us 'little guys' just as much, and you can't possibly get better service! Thank you Skytrails for being first class all the way.

My New Year started with a delightful experience at Skytrails Aviation: I had called in the day before and asked if they could hold the Crew car for me for Jan. 1st at 11.30 am. When I arrived there after a 2 hour flight I was immediately taken to the office via golf cart, where the keys for a comfortable a very clean crew sedan were handed to me with a genuine welcome. My request for directions to a nearby town was answered with both verbal instructions and a printout from Google maps, enabling me to be on my way in less than 10 minutes. Upon my return, my plane was topped off, the receipt printed out, and I was ready to depart within minutes. What a great experience, I felt like royalty when I climbed into my Cessna 182 and flew home to Jackson Westover O70. Thank You Skytrails, and have a successful 2009!

I did hear from Mike McDaniel, the Director of Operations for Maguire Aviation. He apologized for the incident with the chocks and assured me that this will never happen again. He also said that he would reimburse me for the difference in price between the published AirBoss price and the price that I was charged. (I would nonetheless recommend to anyone visiting this FBO that they bring a printout of the prices published on AirNav.)

I visited Skytrails on 9/6/2008 in anticipation of receiving the advertised AirBoss discount. After being fueled, I was told that Skytrails is now owned by Maguire Aviation and they do *not* honor the AirBoss card. I was charged $5.83/gal for 100LL rather than the $5.73 AirBoss price. Another worrying incident happened on the Skytrails ramp. Two of their ramp staff greeted my airplane as I arrived, one on foot who marshaled me to parking and one who sat in their golf cart. After I had stopped and shut down, but before I could get out of the airplane, the staff member in the golf cart threw a pair of chocks a distance of 20 feet toward the staff member standing next to my airplane. The chocks landed on the ground near my left wing, coming within a few feet of actually striking the wing. Since Skytrails does not honor their published prices, and their staff throws objects in a manner that has the potential to damage airplanes, on my next visit to KVNY I will try a different FBO.

I thought a $75 ramp fee for 15 minutes to pick up a passenger was a bit out of line.

Wonderfully friendly, attentive, and professional service... Even in a C182. Thanks, I'll be back!

Flew into VNY on Friday 3-8 and went to Skytrails based on the feedback from this site. I was not disappointed! We parked right away and gas truck was there in 2 minutes. The plane needed an oil change so I asked the front desk for a recommendation for an on-field service place, they recommended Continental and gave me Simon's cell number. They towed the plane to his shop on the other side of the airport just north of the tower. Great service....

I have flown in here a few times now in a Cessna 182 I was treated like I flew in on a Citation! Great linemen service, they help you into your tiedown, bring a golf cart and unload your baggage and give you a ride to the front. They are very friendly people. I will always come into Skytrails.

I flew in to VNY a few months ago, which was quite stressful for someone not used to such a busy airport, but the people at Skytrails were fantastic to work with. They were incredibly helpful, even if I was in a little plane. I actually canceled my car reservations elsewhere to use their in house rental company it was much cheaper.

First Class FBO! Called a few hours in advance and they arranged my rental car and booked a hotel for me. On arrival, the very busy lineman sprinted over to guide my little Archer in and pull up the rental car in spite of the fact he was dealing with several major jet movements. The experience at the counter on arrival and departure was lightning fast, efficient, and friendly. After my next "16R" landing, I'll be back to Skytrails!

Skytrails at VNY is a great operation! The last time I was at Skytrails, one fellow was working on the ramp that was rather older than the other rampers. He volunteered to come over and help me pull my SR20 out of its parking spot. He turned out to be the owner! I can't think of any other FBO in that category where the boss himself comes out to help. He could have been across the ramp tending to John Travolta's G-IV, but instead he was helping out the 'little guy.' After that experience, I wouldn't think of going anyplace else at Van Nuys.

Great service day or night. I have been into Skytrails during all hours and I have never had a problem with service. They have always met every need quickly and promptly. - The only thing I have bad to say and this is the only thing is that the night crew does not know how to setup an AC power cart. - VNY is noise sensitive at night so a power cart is the best way around running the APU.

I just spent two nights at Skytrails. Although they were very nice and very friendly, they do have a $20.00/night ramp fee. They apparently only will waive the fee for one night if you purchase fuel.

I would like to compliment the staff at Skytrails. On a recent visit, we had a Hertz car reserved. Evidently, the local Hertz office forgot to deliver the car ahead of time. Since the Hertz office was closed at the time we were arriving, Skytrails took the initiative of calling another Hertz office and getting a car delivered in time for our arrival. This was seamless to us. We only discovered there was an issue after landing. This is the kind of service that keeps customer loyalty.
