Flew a two-ship formation into Flagler and the tower granted permission for our overhead pitchout. Good service. We had lunch at HighJackers and the day's special was steamed-shrimp.... Excellent! The self-service 100LL is very reasonable and available 24-hours with credit card. Nice airport & personnel for an enroute stop.

Flagler always has some of the best fuel prices in central FL. As a bonus, High Jackers restaurant, on the GA ramp, has really good food.

Made a fuel stop on the way to the Bahamas and cant say enough about how helpful the FBO staff was. The self serve fuel pumps were down so they fueled us at the FBO for the same price as the self serve and stayed past the FBO closing time in order to help us get fueled. They also had arranged to have our rental car dropped off inside the gate with the key because we were originally scheduled to arrive after the FBO closed.

Stopped for fuel stop on way to OBE. Tower was busy but real friendly. Then had soup and salad at restaurant and it was excellent. I highly recommend this stop.

Self-serve pump is at the NW end of taxiway Charlie - on the north side of Alpha. Ground Control told me that the pump is in the non-movement area, so that you can taxi from the pump to the restaurant ramp without a clearance.

Flew in for the week vacation with family. Made arrangements ahead of time for the rental car, which has their operation adjacent to the FBO, with normal Enterprise hours. Parked out front of restaurant, near the FBO. Had wife take kids to restaurant for beverages, while I registered w/FBO, got car, then unloaded the plane - all like clock work. Very near I-95. On returning for departure, worked just as well. I liked it.

Gas price was reasonable at $4.64/gallon today and the Hijackers Restaurant has early-bird specials every day. But if you're coming late in the day, remember the traffic pattern "gets saturated" if more-than-three-training-Cessna are in circuit. If your plane requires 100 knots or more on final, consider coming later or have dinner at St. Augustine.

Stopped on our way down from Maine on a training mission. Flagler has always been a great fuel and food stop with the self-service pump and Hijackers on the field. The addition of the control tower is great. The tower & ground controllers are real pro's especially given the high level of low time student traffic and the proximity of Ormand's Class D and Daytona's Class C airspace. Now you have greatly added safety with the tower. Thanks guys!

I'm late getting this in but we had an OUTSTANDING FBO experience when we stopped here back in February and I wanted to make sure it was noted. After a long flight down in bad weather topped off by bad tower vectors in thick haze that would have been a very close call had we not seen the conflict on Mode S, we stopped for fuel and then decided to stay the night rather than continue on south. Pete was exceptionally helpful in getting us parked, giving us a free ride to the nearby Hampton Inn, and ensuring we got the special airport rate. As if that weren't enough, he also picked us up in the morning to take us back to the plane. All this and a great fuel price too. I've stopped at this airport many times over the years and always had a good experience but this was over the top. Pete is the BEST!

I was at Flagler last weekend. It is NOT possible to have a better experience. The tower was friendly and actually said, "welcome to Flagler", the FBO staff was great, and I had a rental car waiting for me at the FBO for a normal rate. Fuel prices were the cheapest I have paid in months. The restaurant on the field was amazing. I couldn't have been happier.

Wow! THIS is what the general aviation family is all about!! Very friendly tower controllers helped work us in seamlessly with intensive student traffic (we were #3 for landing with four awaiting departure). Then met Roy who was very helpful with local info. No courtesy/crew car needed, because HighJackers restaurant is right there next to the FBO!!! Great food, very good prices, and wonderful character, and nifty t-shirts too. Self-serve fuel was cheap and easy, and more nice folks in the tower for departure. We will definitely be back this summer!

What a great stop! I would return here without question. Two runways to keep the crosswinds to a minimum, great SS fuel prices, easy to access fuel farm. High Jackers was great. The only tough part was resisting a cold beer at 3:00 on a sunny day. Oh well, sweet tea and back in the plane. Will return for an overnight to get that beer.

Where's Waldo (I mean Roy)? We found the old Marion County fuel mizer (Airport Manager) at Flagler County Airport today and he brought the fuel prices with him, $3.66 for 100LL. The restaurant on the field is called Hijackers. I've heard about it for a couple of years but never came over due to the intimidation of MOAs and the like. We came in from the North (HEG) at 1500 and didn't worry about a thing - Left to the South the same way without being shot down. Excellent Sirloin Tip Sandwich-Great tower guys and nice service on the ground. Tell `ol Roy we said, "hey"!

Nice airport. They're not kidding about leaving right at 3:00 on Sunday afternoon...Even if there is lots of activity at the time. Staff was friendly and helpful. Can be difficult to find a tie-down when lots of aircraft on the ramp, especially because of cones blocking portions of the ramp. Taxiways and runways are OK, but be careful taking off from RWY 24 or RWY 29...They both start at the same point and it could be VERY easy to use the wrong one!

Filled up at the self-serve pump when on a recent flight to FXE for a family cruise. While we were fueling a man pulled up in a golf cart and drove my family to the Hijacker for lunch. Very nice as it was VERY hot (surprise surprise!). Don't miss the Hijacker. Really good food. Saw lots of locals coming in to eat as well! Taxiways not in the greatest of shape, but overall was a good experience.
