Very comfortable facility and our 100LL order was filled very quickly. The weather briefing computer was so unbelievably slow that I decided to investigate with the System control panel. It turned out that the poor machine is trying to run Windows XP with 256 MB of RAM. Someone bring these folks one of your old RAM DIMMs! (Most people would say that the minimum RAM required for a simple WinXP machine is 1 GB (costs about $20), given how much browsers consume when showing modern Web pages. The machine at KZZV has to go to the hard drive, which is 300, 000 times slower than RAM, to perform tasks that a normal computer can do instantly.) Anyway, until these guys get a $20 DIMM or a $200 new computer you'll probably have better luck calling Flight Service on the phone for a briefing.

Landed at ZZV on July 27 in a Cessna 172 with two passengers. I called ahead and made arrangements for a Hertz car, which was at the FBO as promised with no zero problems. We returned the car and had a slight delay for refueling, but the FBO staff was apologetic and got us underway as quickly as they could, even though we only purchased 20 gallons! All in all, we were treated as though we came there regularly in a G and purchased hundreds of gallons of fuel. One of the nicest terminal facilities I've ever been in, too. I look forward to returning.

Diverted to Zanesville due to an instrument failure. Arron at Zanesville Aviation took to the time to not only replace the instrument but to complete a few preventive maintenance items and washed my plane to boot. When I picked up my plane the next day, Arron had all the log entry stickers ready and walked me throught each item he and his crew tackled. I would stop here any day for maintenance as his rates were wonderful.

Diverted into ZZV for weather. First, Zanesville Aviation is super -- drove us down to Denny's for lunch, picked us up and brought us back to the airport, and then when we gave up, drove us to the Best Western for the night. Second, the Denny's in ZZV (1.25 miles from the FBO) is a really neat retro 1950's diner decor -- doesn't look like Denny's at all except for the logos. The weird thing is the Music was all 70's, mostly disco -- go figure. My mind has trouble grokking KC and the Sunshine band while sitting in a red/white vinyl booth and looking at a picture of a '56 Chevy convertible. Maybe worth a fly-in for lunch.

I can only echo the comments of others about how nice this airport is. The almost new terminal / FBO building is professionally decorated like a high dollar custom home. Fireplace, flat panel TV, nice furniture. Very comfortable and all the amenities. I'd stop here again just to relax on the lovely leather sofas. Be sure to take note of all the aviation-themed furnishings -- some really NICE stuff! A great place to make a fuel stop.

Made a fuel stop here recently. Got on the Unicom and told me where to park for fuel. That in and of itself is a plus these days. Then gave me a lift to and from the diner for lunch. The sign on the door says it all. No ramp fees, landing fees, handling fees, etc. But...All the service.

Stopped as a planned fuel stop on way to Indianapolis. Landed just in time to get refueled before a thunderstorm was headed at the airport. They placed my Cherokee in a hangar at no charge. Beautiful facility - nice friendly staff - will definitely return.

What a great FBO! Competitive fuel prices. No landing or ramp fee. A facility that is beautiful! Great friendly staff, and two long runways with an ILS. What else can a pilot ask for?

An excellent modern FBO, very comfortable, staff is very helpful with any of your needs, Loni, Ronnie and Tanner thanks so much. This will forever be one of my stops across the country if I am ever up there again.
