Flew in from San Diego Gillespie for a long weekend. Smoke from the fire near Santa Barbara caused very poor visibility during arrival and departure. Ash from fire also covered planes parked on ramp. Fuel $4.40 a gallon, Rent a Wreck Airport Rental Car $20:00 a day plus 30 cents a mile, AC is 4/60 I.E. All four windows down and 60mph for cooling only!!

L05 Fun airport, friendly folks. Flew in from FFZ via ONT Saturday 3/31 for 4-day stay. Isabella MOA is very active during the week and Joshua Approach is very helpful. Huge $100 hamburger. Lots of nice hotels and lodges in Kernville. Good fishing.

I went to L05 for an overnight camping trip back in July from CCB. Great flight there, great campground. Had a blast, and I definitely look forward to coming back next year! Be sure to bring some bug repellant...there are tons of gnats flying around! The cafe is great as well!
