Mag aviation fuel is up and running again. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

Self-serve pump was not working when we were there on 8/27/09. Manager was helpful in getting it working for us. There is no fuel truck so self serve or nothing. Airport is hard to locate coming in from the east. Takeoff to south terrain rises quickly. Good restaurant. Runway is rather narrow and rough in spots.

Response from Garry Abbott, Co-owner, Mag Aviation Fuel
The fuel system at Hesperia is upgraded to the highest standards and is up and running 10-27-09 at 11:00 LCL. Look forward to our newest expansion at the Santa Barbara Municipal Airport 12-09.

Stopped in for fuel a few days ago as I frequently do for some of the cheapest fuel in So Cal. Everything was great, as usual (except for the 15-20 knot wind blowing directly across the runway!) Usually I listen in on the VCV VOR (109.4) for the weather, which due to the terrain is the most similar to the actual wx @ L26.

The card reader at the fuel pump was not working Sunday afternoon 12-28-08. I sent an email to Mitch at the address above about it.

My wife and I flew our twin in for fuel on Nov. 08, 2008 because the folks at MAG Aviation are TRULY aviation people. They bust their humps to keep fuel prices low and they will give you great service if you have problems with the pump or your airplane. We also like flying into Hesperia because there is a great restaurant on the field as well. Stop by - you won't regret it!

Self-Serve price was as advertised here on AirNav and the pump worked just as expected. The cafe had its usual great food and service too!!! This really is a good stop.

Stopped in to fill up my tanks after my Angel Flight from Modesto to Riverside for the trip back to Livermore. Runway was fine the new pump was great. Met a nice resident there who helped me push back my DA-40 after filling up. I'll be back to try out the cafe!

I have stopped in for fuel numerous times this year and always found the prices as advertised on AirNav. Definitely the cheapest in Socal, and even cheaper than North Las Vegas occasionally. Pump has a metal cover that can chip your paint if you are not careful. Garry always comes out to say hello and is very helpful.

Hesperia Airport is a great place to top off the tanks! The fuel is always cheap and the airport is safe and easy to operate in and out of. Be sure to see Gary Abbott, Chief Mechanic, A&P/IA of AA Aircraft Maintenance for all aircraft maintenance needs. He works on 747's to 152's and has done my last 2 annuals with excellence!
