The advertised price for avgas was good and the airport was a planned fuel stop since they also have a restaurant nearby. On June 27, 2008, the FBO was out of fuel. I wish I had called ahead to check. Otherwise, L45 seems like a good stop for fuel and replenishment.

Stopped by for fuel earlier this week. Topped-off at the self-service pumps and then went inside. Air-conditioned and the restroom was definitely one of the best ones I've seen in a FBO. No wireless Internet, but they provide a computer for flight planning (it has AOPA's flight planning software on there).

We stopped in today for lunch with 2 other Mooneys. The restaurant is brand new and run by Michael, John Harmon's son of Harmon Rocket fame. Well worth the stop. Good food.. Good people..

Brand new restaurant on NW side of field at large ramp. My understanding is that Harmon Rocket Company built it. Hangar style with air and car memorabilia, also for sale. Large bar and HDTV’s with PA. Diner style menu, and the food was good. Excellent 200-dollar hamburger stop.

Nice airport BUT... The AvFuel price listed on AirNav on the 7th of April was $.30 cheaper than the price I had to pay at the self-serve pump. After carefully choosing a field to land at it is a real let down to experience this. Self serve pump worked well and the field is in very good condition.

Stopped at Bakersfield Municipal for the lower fuel price and very much enjoyed the facilities at Kern Charter Service near the self-serve pump. Comfortable lounge with air conditioning, soda machine, very clean restroom, and friendly folks to visit with. I notice it has been a year since any comments were posted - This is still a great stop!
