VERY SAD, to see a pictorial, hidden in the valley, surrounded by green hills, deserted airport, locked up restaurant, bathrooms (Andy Gump on the edge of the parking lot), cheap gas and very relaxing atmosphere, airport that gives you the message: you are not welcome.

Was there this past Sunday to enjoy Airport Day. Met great people and saw some nice planes. They have Airport Hangar Day on the last Sunday of the month. Great times.

Agua Dulce is simply a beautiful airport nestled in a scenic valley south of Palmdale. The airport is well maintained with grassy picnic areas, a nice long runway, and great airport staff.

Stopped on Sunday Oct.25, 08. Fuel was $5.10. No one around. It is an unusually nice airport. Picnic tables, manicured lawns with shade trees, spotless bathrooms. Restaurant and pool were closed. If your friends want to meet you the need a pass key to get in or its short walk in. Great place for a fly-in.

The CTAF recently changed to 122.8 per NOTAM. There is still a lot of incoming traffic on 122.9; you will need to monitor that second frequency to avoid unpleasant surprises.

A wonderful airport to visit! The airport manager is friendly and personable. During my 4-hour visit in July Al made sure I was comfortable with the amenities he could provide. This is a beautifully maintained airport with neighbors very close by so please make sure to abide by noise abatement procedures. I'll be back again. RS

Flew in the other day to drop off someone. Very quiet and looks desolate. There was some construction equipment near the hangars so possible renewed interest in the airport.

Avoid this place like the plague!!! I am a flight instructor and I will never take another student to this airport. This airport gives off a very negative vibe. I teach all of my students to be courteous and respect all the rules of the places they fly. However when there is nothing posted about a so-called rule, it makes it a little difficult to follow. The airport manager is RUDE and doesn't know the difference between a stop and go and a full stop Landing. Go to Santa Paula or Fox field as an alternative, nice people and great hospitality. Take L70 off your flying maps this place has no redeeming qualities.

Flew in today. Very sad to see the airport nearly abandoned. Restaurant closed; avgas $4.50 self serve. I flew on to Fox field for lunch...
