My Desert Rose cafe burned down last week. Hopefully, they can rebuild soon.

We flew out to Ocotillo today to have lunch at the Desert Rose Cafe. Unfortunately, it burned down last Friday. Not much left. A bit of good news for us was that there is a Tiki trailer nearby that sells smoothies, nachos and burritos so we weren't entirely out of luck for food. Hopefully they'll rebuild the Desert Rose though.

We went to the Desert Rose Cafe on Halloween weekend. First big weekend of the dirt biking season, we were told. There were plenty of bikes and other offroading devices. Breakfast was quick and good. You can park right next to the road across from the restaurant. Definitely be back!

Super fast service and a great breakfast! I was truly surprised even on a long holiday weekend with many dirt bike and dune buggy people. I will definitely stop again.

The cafe is only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. 2 minute walk from the airstrip. Very, very quiet place midweek.

Flew in on Sunday for the breakfast buffet at My Desert Rose cafe. Although the buffet menu is limited, it's very good. They also have a full breakfast and lunch menu if the buffet isn't what you want. This ain't The Ritz and you'll sit at picnic tables whether you eat inside or out. But it's an interesting and out-of-the-way dining experience. The ladies running the place are great even when it's busy.
