Return trip for Memphis in May BBQ fest. MEM approach was terrific and treated us fairly as we made GPS approach right in the middle of the FedEx crush. FBO closed so we tied down, enjoyed Memphis and returned Saturday morning. Walter nowhere to be found, but, did not matter. Same great service and terrific hospitality. Towed plane to fuel and fueled plane for me. Is just as I remembered. I hope to return again next year.

My son and I was on vacation planning to visit some Memphis sites and had the idea of landing in MEM. Somehow while en route we were convinced by a fellow pilot to try M01. So we did and discovered wonderful Walter and his team at Dewitt Spain. Walter took very good care of us from the touchdown moment: Arranged for a hotel, rental car, recommended restaurants and site seeing. Good people, great airport, amazing Walter. Price of fuel is reasonable too.

Great folks. Walter and his staff took great care of us. If you are traveling to Memphis this is the Airport to stop in, and they have great fuel prices.

Have stopped in M01 4 times now with great service each time. Walter and his staff are very accommodating to both my passengers and myself. They assist with fueling and gave me a ride into town for lunch. Very fair fuel prices. They appreciate your business.

Walter helped us make the best of an unplanned stop due to weather and 40 knot headwinds. Had a great lunch at BB Kings on Beale Street. Great airport deal for Peabody hotel (very luxurious with great service.) Walter also called Enterprise to pick us up for rental car. Great place to stop. Very close to downtown. We enjoyed visiting Graceland also!

My C182 is hangared at Dewitt. I have been impressed with the level of helpfulness of everyone at the airport. The flight school's Chief Instructor Dr. Morris Ray and he is exceptional. They are very focused on education and safety. I highly recommend attending their "safety" meetings held monthly (these are primarily for the CFIs, but anyone is welcome to attend. A rep from the FAA is usually there as well.) The A/P facility and people are top notch. When I need maintenance, I frequently get it immediately. Mike and all the A/Ps are thorough and professional. P.S. The 100L is consistently some of the cheapest around!

Nice, friendly airport with good fuel prices. We stopped there for fuel twice in the last week and were greeted at the self-serve pumps by the airport manager each time. He brought us some ice-cold bottled water and fueled the plane while we watched.

Very good place to stop in Memphis. I have been to all the airports in Memphis for business and pleasure...But I will only return to M01, Thomas thanks for your above average service.

Called ahead and was given all information needed by Walter. Arrived after hours, tied down and had a good 2 days in Memphis at BBQ Fest. Returned on Saturday morning and plane was moved to the fuel pump for me. Nice people, clean facilities and close to downtown. I will return.

Outstanding FBO! We were greeted upon taxiing up to the fuel pumps with our rental car. Line crew was friendly and helpful. Was not charged for any tie down fees after two nights and the proximity to downtown is great. We'll be back.

Flew in late Saturday in a Piper Dakota. After hours access to the facility was available via posted door codes. Taxi to downtown was prompt and around $12. We departed Monday afternoon. Fuel was as guaranteed on AirNav (and cheap!) and there were no ramp or tie down fees. I had a little trouble starting our Dakota, but a nice local named Steve was kind enough to give me a quick lesson on troubleshooting a Lycoming. We'll definitely be back!

Great airport! Walter (the GM) got on the radio as I was taxiing in and directed me to the pumps and filled plane with CHEAP avgas. Great service - gave us hotel and restaurant info, called a taxi, helped with bags. Great experience, would highly recommend when flying in to Memphis.

This is a really nice airport. Neat, clean, tie down ropes at all the parking spots. Great fuel price. Everyone there was helpful and pleasant.

We choose M01 based on these comments and the good fuel price. Mike met us with a golf cart and led us to the pumps. Then he brought our Enterprise car to the airplane and fueled the plane while we unloaded. He gave us detailed directions to Beale St. And his card just in case we had any questions about our time in Memphis. I don't always see such a close relationship between Enterprise and an FBO. It is a real time saver to have the car delivered and be able to just drop it at the airport. If Memphis doesn't draw you by itself, come to this FBO just to see how everyone could do it.

Flew in to M01 on April 17, 2006 for fuel and an overnight stay. Everything said below is true. An excellent place with very good service. Taxi to downtown was $15-20.

Excellent FBO, nice people. If you go to Memphis this is the place to go to. The airport is close to downtown, gas price is reasonable. We arrived IFR and they called us on Unicom while taxiing out for directions to the gas pump, then tied the plane down. We had a rental car delivered to the airport by Enterprise and they handled everthing very well.

This is a great airport and FBO to visit Memphis downtown. Memphis Approach very easy to work with both in to and outbound from M01. FBO was great. Stayed a little late just for me because I had a rental car waiting (brought it right up to the plane). Self-serve fuel, but they pumped it, and then tied the plane down. I needed a jump because "somebody" left the Master switch on, and they quickly took care of that without charge.

Nice place to do business with. Got a ride to my hotel from local pilot. Called the next to get plane fueled. They had it ready to go when I got there. Computer in pilot lounge and vending machines. Good fuel prices too.

We flew our C-210 into M01 yesterday. Johnathan drove our rental car out to the plane, complete with travel brochures. They monitor your IFR arrival if you call ahead of time. He fueled the plane, even though it was self-service, and tied us down while we left. Great service and great location!

Kudos and Dittos! The only reason I would consider KMEM is if it were hard IFR. Otherwise, Dewitt Spain is very close to downtown. The fuel is cheap. The staff friendly. And I wasn't charged a tie-down fee for the time I was there. Can't beat it!
