Had a day trip to Memphis to see the local attractions, and there are many. This airport is closest to all the action and just mere minutes from downtown. As we landed the aircraft was met and marshaled in, it was tied down and secured before we were able to exit the aircraft. The rental car I arranged in advance then pulled up in front of the aircraft before we could even get the luggage out of the luggage compartment. This was all done with a smile and the highest level of professionalism and courtesy. My wife and I had spend the last 2 weeks in a rented PA32 (Lance II) touring the south eastern USA, and although we were usually met with great hospitality everywhere we went... But this FBO was top of the list, amazing friendly perfect service... I highly recommend this place whenever you stop into the Memphis area. You won't be disappointed.

Stopped her for gas on a cross country from San Francisco in the Pilatus. I called the day before to ensure they had gas and pricing etc. They said they closed at 5. We got off the ground late and arrived at 5. They were there and happy to fuel us up. Thank you for the excellent service. I love your airport. I’ll be back.

We stopped for some cheap Jet A & BBQ on Beale Street on 5/23/13. As we arrived, another pilot was inside making arrangements to borrow the courtesy car. Walter, always the friendly, accommodating type, offered to loan us his personal vehicle to run downtown for some wonderful Memphis BBQ. When we got back, he helped us pull the plane to the fuel pump, fuel, and reposition for departure. Excellent, friendly service that went above & beyond the norm. Thanks Walter!

I'm late in writing this but traveled to M01 on 4/12-13/2013. Had read all the great reviews about the service and so I had great expectations. Those expectations were met and exceeded! Great service above and beyond the call. Jason (I apologize if I forgot your name) went above and beyond waiting for us to arrive for departure later than expected and well after closing hours. M01 will definitely be my airport of choice for Memphis!

This airport is a pearl! We arrived after hours and tied down in front of the FBO. The next day the manager took our airplane to the pump, refueled it and brought it back in front of the entrance where we could easily load our bags. Very friendly place to stop and excellent service!

Landed late from KFZI (Ohio). Beautiful approach over the Mississippi River and the City. Tarmac was well-lit w/plenty of tiedowns. Easy access to the terminal. While waiting for cab ride local pilots asked if we needed anything. When we returned Sunday, C-182 was towed to the self-service pumps for us so we didn't have to taxi, fuel was very reasonable and the assistance could not have been better! Proximity to downtown makes M01 a great place to tiedown and visit.

We stopped in for an overnight conference then departed the next afternoon. The manager and staff could not have been more helpful. They told us which car rental agency would deliver to the airport, pulled the car to the plane, helped us with all bags and paperwork upon arrival. The next day, they helped me fuel the airplane (a gas was really cheap) and took care of car rental return. They were willing to pull our airplane up front in preparation for departure. A+++. Thanks, guys!

Stopped for fuel 2/15/13. Easy in and out with Memphis Center. Very clean terminal (refurbished 2 years ago after river flooded). Good fuel price. Attendants friendly and efficient--they even scrounged up a bowl so the dog we had unexpectedly acquired during our trip could have a drink of water!

Had a great experience with my family and our old 182A. Super friendly, great access to downtown, clean facilities, had our rental car ready as planned and the fuel pricing is fair. Make sure you check hours, as this is not a 24-hour FBO.

Great service and prices. First trip to M01 was business and expectations were exceeded. Rental car waiting, hot coffee and directions. Currently frequent regularly as an EMS pilot. Courtesy, service, and fuel prices are unequaled. Highly recommend.

Diverted for weather and flew into M01 on a trip from LEX to HYI in a Piper Lance. IFR weather the next morning brought wind and rain and the friendly folks at the Shelby County airport gladly fueled my aircraft and then pulled it up right in front of the terminal door for departure. Fuel prices were VERY reasonable and M01 is a fantastic alternate to MEM, close to downtown and the facilities are clean and have all the amenities. The staff was very friendly, professional and eager to serve. I could not have been treated better. I don't get to Memphis often but will be sure to choose M01 next time I am in the area. I highly recommend this airport and FBO.

Thank you for an awesome visit to your FBO. We called ahead to see if the crew car would be available, upon landing it was waiting for us. Great fuel price, great service and great people make for an unforgettable experience to the area. Close to downtown Memphis, next time we will stay longer.

Travis and Walter certainly lived up to (and exceeded) the expectations set by the previous posts! Pulled up to he pumps and some routine service was being performed. Travis apologized and stated it would only be a few minutes. We told him we were looking to grab a quick bite to eat anyway and that it was no problem. He proceeded to pull he courtesy car around and assured us he would take care of the fuel. When we returned, the fuel order was complete as requested and at the self serve rate! Great stop and as friendly as advertised. Easy and quick trip down to Beale for some lunch. Great facilities. Wonderful fuel stop for both the airplane and its passengers! He restrooms are available as is the fuel 24 hours, so this would be a good stop even after business hours! Thanks for keeping aviation friendly guys! We'll be back!

By far the best FBO I have flown into in the past 3 years. They met the plane with a golf cart and offered to assist. They looked over my plane (Mooney M20C, '65) and noticed a minor problem in the front tire. They repaired it without any charge. Fuel is cheap. They helped me get a cab and gave me recommendation of places to eat during my stay. These people were friendly and just great overall.

Great little airport, Walter, Jason, and everyone their treated us real special. Right along the Great Mississippi. Fuel prices were great and no parking fee. Would go back there any time.

Southern hospitality at its best. Not only is the staff at the FBO very accommodating and professional, everyone at the airport is great. M01 is fantastic. Make sure you bug Enterprise to remember to drop your car off so you don't get stranded.... The squeaky wheel gets the grease with that outfit.

Walter and team provided me exceptional service. This airport is most convenient to downtown Memphis (3.8 miles to the Marriott). Friendly courteous and professional and great avgas prices. Will be stopping here when heading anywhere in this direction.

Extremely nice gentleman met us at the plane as we landed, got us a taxi, helped us with our bags, and was otherwise very helpful. Fuel prices from the self-serve tank are also very reasonable, and the location is very convenient to downtown Memphis. I will definitely come back here the next time I'm in that area.

Superb--landed on a day with nasty weather (heavy rain, gusting, ceiling just above minimums) and received exceptional service, including calls during the day to make sure everything was ok. Truly a first-rate experience, kudos for a wonderful experience.

Great little airport! They are still recovering from a flood earlier this year, but they have a nice temporary building for the FBO, and the avgas price is cheaper than anywhere I've seen. Thanks!

Dewitt Spain is open again. The runway, taxiways and ramp look good as new. Fuel is flowing again with new pump equipment and the same cheap prices. I bought 87 gals. This weekend and received great treatment from Mike during a brutal heat wave. Congrats and thanks to all for the hard work in getting this great field open again.

DeWitt Spain is open for business. We would like to welcome all of our tenants and customers back to the Airport. On August 27th we plan to have a luncheon from 11am till 1pm to welcome everybody back to the airport. We also plan to discount fuel on the 27th and 28th during business hours.

DeWitt Spain is currently closed due to the flooding in May. We are currently working to reopen the airport and hope to have it open in early July. We are sorry for any inconvenience the closing has caused and look forward to getting our tenants and customers flying at DeWitt Spain again.

Stopped in Memphis to visit some friends in Memphis. Great little airport conveniently located outside of downtown Memphis. The staff helped fuel my airplane and even emailed me a copy of my receipt a few days later (since I forgot to pick it up). Excellent. Will stop in next time I visit Memphis.

This is an extremely well run County FBO. (I know hard to believe anything gov't can be well run). Walter and staff were extremely helpful. It is the kind of place where your aircraft gets staged in the pouring rain when you didn't even have to ask for it. The facility is nice and they have plans to make more improvements. We will be back. Customer service comes from the top down and these guys get it.
