The massive storms that hit Texarkana on May 22, 08 caused us to divert to Hope, arriving just as another downpour occurred. Dean took care of us, including recommending a hotel and giving us a lift. Thank you!

Great friendly place, cheap fuel and easy to get in and out of too. Don't try to land on 22! There are FEMA trailers left over from Hurricane Katrina parked all over the place. Neat old terminal building. The service was great too. The guy at the airport (I'm embarrassed to say I forgot his name) let us use his personal car to go into town for a bite to eat and helped us with the self serve fuel.

Interesting stop. Beautiful historic Terminal/FBO building worth seeing. Parked full of local's airplanes. Then there are the 15, 000 FEMA Trailers for Hurricane Katrina stored there that are wasting away. No doubt a Clinton connection. Good fuel stop with friendly people.
