From Ray Wells on 08-Sep-2007
M94 Desert Aire (Mattawa) Airport Update: 1. A Northside taxiway is under construction and is expected to be finished and operational by the end of September 2007 2. Information that should have been mentioned earlier: The entire runway (10 & 28) slopes upward from West to East. The first 3560 feet has a 1% upward slope, and the last 100 feet (at the East end) has a 2% upward slope. When landing on runway 10 the pilot must content with an upward sloping runway. And when landing on runway 28 the pilot must contend with a downward sloping runway.

Response from David Strand, Desert Aire
The north taxiway has been completed and is available for use.
