Friendly folks! Good facility. Quiet. Called ahead and the manager referred us to the local Enterprise car rental (636-390-0051) who will now leave a car at the airport. Fax Enterprise your driver info, and they will fill out the contract too, saves time at the apt. We stayed at a new Sleep Inn, and had a positive experience all around.

Very Disappointed! I grew up in Washington, MO and I was excited to be able to make a stop there on a recent trip in my Piper Seminole. I called ahead early in the day to check on the availability of a crew car. The gentleman who answered the phone, Jack, I think was his name, told me that they had one available and they would hold it for me. He asked what time I'd be in and I told him 6pm local. He responded that the FBO closes at 5pm but they would leave the keys to the crew car under the floor mat. I thought, wow, this FBO really goes above and beyond. I then inquired about which type of credit cards they accept, thinking that their pumps would accept credit cards after hours. Well, when I arrived No crew car, and no credit card reader at the pump. Washington is such a great town; I had my heart set on driving into town for some of that famous pizza at the "Landing". If this FBO would get its act together, Washington's Airport could really be a great pilot's destination.

On July 22, 2006 my wife and I stopped here for fuel and spent the night in town. We were on our way to Oshkosh. The folks at the FBO were extremely friendly. They greeted us at our plane and were pleasant to talk to. All and all a good place to stop for fuel. No restaurant on the airport however so you need a car to get into town.

The airport manager was very helpful and courteous by aiding us in obtaining weather reports and flight planning info. He allowed us to use the courtesy car to go for lunch and as it turned out we were allowed to use the car overnight to and from our hotel. He was also helpful in suggesting dining and lodging locations.

No courtesy car at the airport. "Local" taxi took 1.5 hours to pick up at the airport to drive us 3 miles to the nearest restaurant ($14.00) then asked the owner of the cab to pick us up in exactly 1 hour. Never showed up. Bad place.
