From Dave Sutton on 09-Sep-2007: Grass Roots flying at it's best, Hackettstown is NJ's 3rd oldest airport, just behind Bader and Newark. City Slickers beware, this is a place to rest your muddy shoes on the bench, sit down with a coke, and rest a spell, but not a place where we hurry much. Folks who expect to have their new all-singing-and-dancing composite GPS equipped wonder-airplane washed and waxed by smiling line-persons ought to land elsewhere, but we'll be happy to show you the hose so you can do it yourself, and we'll lend a shirt to a stranger. Dogs are welcome, as are itinerant tail draggers and such. Now and then we find a tent off in the corner with a J-3 Cub picketed down next to it, and we know we have another visitor. Just land on the first third of the runway or go-around, and we'll all get along dandy!
