Great little airport, hyper convenient to Boone. Took a Cessna 182RG here. Mountains and hills surround this strip, strictly VFR only, but if your eyes are open, no problem. Laid back atmosphere, call ahead and go.

A great small airport. The owner mentioned that transient aircraft are welcome, just try to call ahead, leave a message, etc. Also a great opportunity for recurrent flight training in higher density altitudes with Neff Dee and his PA-28-180. Google maps have some notes on the requested right-hand traffic pattern for R31.
