Stopped for fuel 2/4/12. Price was $4.95 for 100LL SS as stated on AirNav.Com. Comparatively lower fuel price is greatly appreciated.

Wonderful place to stop for inexpensive fuel. Little pilot lounge is a small square bldg South of fuel farm. Pilot lounge is open 24/7 with restroom, heat and not too much else but what else do you need anyway.

Great fuel stop only 20 min from South Lake Tahoe, and much better price. Easy to operate self-serve fueling station. Restaurant always seems closed and abandoned, but pilot lounge in a portable building a few steps from the fuel pump has a bathroom and a writing desk. Never any other traffic around, feels deserted, but fuel price is great... Worth a stop here.

4.15/gal. Nice trailer/pilot lounge just to the south of the pumps.

Self-service fuel is a relative bargain at $4.15/gal. Restaurant was closed when I arrived at noon. Hand-written sign on door says closure is temporary -- for the winter. McDonald's is a short walk away (less than 0.25 mile); just follow the sidewalk toward town.

Stopped at Yerington 9/25. Fuel still 4.00, rolling ladder is nice. Restaurant locked when I first tried door. About 15 minutes later (maybe 12:30) the door opened. Sign outside said phones inside, but didn't find any. Two locals waiting for lunch asked what I wanted. I say I need a phone because I didn't get cell coverage (T-mobile). Guys pulls out his phone, says it works fine and then puts it away!! Cute little waitress comes to rescue with her cell and I check in with home. NOTE...Flight Guide says ARR's should use runway 19. I was on base when auto Unicom comes up and says preferred calm wind runway is 01. ?!?!? Anyway, watch for local traffic that may be using 01.

Gas was as advertised and the new pilot lounge is great. Clean restroom and a nice building. Cafe was not open early on Saturday but opened later. Food was good. Runway has grass on it but is still in good shape. Loved the wide ladder/step setup for gassing up.

Stopped in for fuel on Sept. 18 and again on the return trip on Sept. 23. Both days there was a sign on the coffee shop door: "Closed due to equipment failure."

From Al Treadwell on 21-Sep-2009

Cheap gas and town is close but don't expect the cafe to be open.

From Mick Collins on 07-Aug-2009

Fuel was still $3.55 a gallon this morning (8/7/2009). Good deal for around here! The restaurant reopened about 5 weeks ago, and is getting better with each passing week! They're open for breakfast and lunch, Tuesday through Saturday.

Good News! The airport cafe/restaurant reopens with a new operator on May 22, 2009. The new owners, whom I met today, are very nice people. They will be serving both breakfast and lunch. Today (April 20, 2009) the self-serve fuel had a sign "Out of Order".

Response from Dan Newell, City of Yerington
I check the fuel here everyday. Works fine.
