Stopped in for fuel on Sept. 18 and again on the return trip on Sept. 23. Both days there was a sign on the coffee shop door: "Closed due to equipment failure."

Cheap gas and town is close but don't expect the cafe to be open.

Fuel was still $3.55 a gallon this morning (8/7/2009). Good deal for around here! The restaurant reopened about 5 weeks ago, and is getting better with each passing week! They're open for breakfast and lunch, Tuesday through Saturday.

Good News! The airport cafe/restaurant reopens with a new operator on May 22, 2009. The new owners, whom I met today, are very nice people. They will be serving both breakfast and lunch. Today (April 20, 2009) the self-serve fuel had a sign "Out of Order".
Response from Dan Newell, City of Yerington I check the fuel here everyday. Works fine.

Visited on 10/21/08 and restaurant still closed. A short walk to McDonalds, RoundTable or Subway via a concrete walkway. Also, there is a very nice shaded picnic area with lawn near the transient parking and self-serve fuel pump. Restrooms were open and reasonably clean. Did not buy fuel; however, the price matched the current price listed on AirNav. Runway in only fair condition with some tall weeds growing through the runway on the edges. Very good transient tie-downs and easy access to the self-serve pump.

Still no restaurant or FBO, however the door was open so we were able to use the restroom. If it isn't open, McDonald's is just a short walk in town.

Sadly, the Cafe shut its doors on January 28, 2008. Sounds like attempts are being made to re-open it under different operators.

Great fuel stop. Cheap fuel, and the cafe was terrific. Stopped here mid-day on a Monday. Easy in & out with a full belly.
