Appreciate the rolling ladder. However it is a hazard and dangerous to use on high wing airplanes (Cessna 180). The support bar at the bottom of the ladder prevents the ladder from straddling the landing gear and safely reaching the fuel cap. Climbing the ladder and stretching to reach and step on the strut with fuel hose/nozzle over my shoulder and in one hand is not something I will do again! Pilot lounge is nice and convenient. However, I'll find another airport for fuel next time.

Stopped for fuel and restroom break. The fueling experience was wonderful, with all the problems logged in May 2013 resolved. Nice fuel station. Very nice pilots' lounge. We were too early to experience the Hangar Cafe. Flight Guide indicates that it is open Tuesday through Sunday, 1100 - 2100.

Stopped for fuel 5/14/13, Problems encountered. The window on the fuel card reader is severely crazed and virtually impossible to read. The end of the fuel nozzle is badly worn off and the fuel sprays out in a four-inch fan instead of a regular flow stream. That is easily fixed by cutting an inch off the end of the nozzle. The card reader needs replacement, or the window replaced, if possible. To prevent recurrence, a cover should be installed over the card reader, which I have seen at many other airports.

New pilot lounge and cheap fuel. I stop here on every trip from Southern Utah to Northern CA.

Stopped for fuel 2/4/12. Price was $4.95 for 100LL SS as stated on AirNav.Com. Comparatively lower fuel price is greatly appreciated.

Wonderful place to stop for inexpensive fuel. Little pilot lounge is a small square bldg South of fuel farm. Pilot lounge is open 24/7 with restroom, heat and not too much else but what else do you need anyway.

Great fuel stop only 20 min from South Lake Tahoe, and much better price. Easy to operate self-serve fueling station. Restaurant always seems closed and abandoned, but pilot lounge in a portable building a few steps from the fuel pump has a bathroom and a writing desk. Never any other traffic around, feels deserted, but fuel price is great... Worth a stop here.

4.15/gal. Nice trailer/pilot lounge just to the south of the pumps.

From Joe Dubner on 02-Feb-2011

Self-service fuel is a relative bargain at $4.15/gal. Restaurant was closed when I arrived at noon. Hand-written sign on door says closure is temporary -- for the winter. McDonald's is a short walk away (less than 0.25 mile); just follow the sidewalk toward town.
