Beautiful approach to land from north over Bisbee and Mule mountains. RWY in good shape. Unicom freq for restroom and lounge. SS Fuel available. Home for sale w/ airport access. Wall marks MEXICO border to south, no problem for departure turnout or inbound base turn on south end. Commercial ride service to town available. Nearest weather TAF KDUG

We flew to Bisbee with plans for just a day trip in Sep 2019 but ended up staying over one night due to weather. We met the nicest people there at the airport. Super friendly. When it started raining, Eric and Cheryl from Copper City Aviation offered to let us use their Jeep for transportation. Turned our day trip into an over night adventure!!! Everyone we met in Bisbee was pleasant.... Nice town, great place to visit.

Flew to Bisbee (P04) for a day trip to visit old Bisbee. Contacted Canyon State FBO the day before about getting transport from the airport to the old town. Eric from Canyon State arranged for use to borrow a truck for the time we were there at no cost. He said they could usually help out with transport with a day or two notice. It's a basic airport: runway is in good shape, plenty of tie downs for day use, an office with bathrooms. Approaching from the north can be a challenge with a quick descent once past the mountains, and climbing out can take a few circles (in particular in a fully loaded 172 with 4 passengers and full fuel) due to the density altitude. The Mexican border is just a few miles to the south, but plenty of room for a south take off to make left traffic.

Visited Bisbee, AZ airport on 11/2/17. There is a note on the SS Fuel cabinet that the computer is out of service, Call 520-227-9841 for fuel. The attendant lives on the airport, and if not home, works close to the airport. No info on how long this situation will be in effect.
