First trip to Beaumont Hotel was today. Met George B. 93 YOA who used to fly a PT-19 for pleasure/work, his friend Ruth G.; and her daughter and son-in-law. Took George and Brenda around the patch. I shall always remember his broad smile and tipped hat as we taxied by on final departure. What a great day at a fun place.

Great, easy grass strip. There is a steady fly-in crowd on the weekends. You literally taxi into town and park across the street from the hotel/restaurant. Bring your own tie downs and stakes if staying overnight. This is a private strip, but available for use if you are eating or staying at the hotel. Call for field conditions. We stayed a night and the accommodations were great. Food is slightly above average, but the service great. If you are staying at the hotel, just note it is almost the only thing in town. If you're looking for a relaxing, lazy overnight, this is the place. If you're into sightseeing, arrange a rental car. No fuel is available. Check out their website for hours, etc.
