Stayed overnight on 11/11/11 on way from Phoenix to Orlando. Highly recommend a visit. Very cool place. Parked plane at front door. Excellent food at diner next to hotel. Live music in officers club in evenings.

Visited with my family one Saturday morning, great breakfast, great price and a great airport. Obviously if you get the chance head into Fredericksburg, but make sure you have space before you go as you will be sure to come back with some goodies.

Nice hotel with a good diner. We enjoyed sitting in the sun on the observation deck in the afternoon watching the airplanes come and go. It's pretty cool sitting there sipping on a soda and seeing our plane on the ramp and watching the activity. What a relaxing way to spend a couple of days!

Spent the weekend at T82 and had a great time. Folks at Fredericksburg FBO, Hangar Hotel and Airport Diner were all terrific. Highly recommend the entire experience.

After hearing of the Hangar Hotel a year ago we've been looking for an excuse to visit, which just came with Oktoberfest and my lil girl having a 3-day weekend off school. We had very high expectations after all the research, and those were well surpassed by everyone and everything there!! From the planning/reservations to arrival to departure, the very kind and friendly folks at both the FBO and Hangar Hotel made us feel like we were home, and everything from the rental-car to the hotel to the diner was impeccable and outstanding! Our plane right outside the hotel door, looking at it while we had breakfast or sitting on the observation deck, while surrounded by music and memorabilia from the golden age of aviation, made us appreciate it even more. Then there was the town and folks in Fredericksburg, Oktoberfest, the vintage shops for blocks along Main Street, the many new friends that we made there who made us promise to return next year, and so on...Simply a fantastic experience!!

Nice airport, buildings and ramp area. Two areas to fuel but higher price than nearby airports. Restaurant is clean and service was good. The breakfast was ok. A very convenient place to fly to and exercise the plane in central Texas. The Aerial Fire Fighters were there to view. One large helicopter and 2 Air Tractors with all the equipment. This airport and facilities was designed well and is kept very nice.
