Easy to find and Jim Snyder was very friendly assisting w/ the refuel. Can't beat prices like these. I'll be back when flying north.

Flew in today for the oyster festival. Got some fuel and help pushing the plane back to the grass parking area from the several CAP-type folks who were on the field. S/S and F/S seemed to be the same price, but the fellow with the fuel was out to lunch so we self-served. Was charged $5 to park. There did seem to be a number of ropes available in the grass, which was especially helpful on the blustery day we flew in. Water is very nearby and there is a good deal of great seafood in the area, however nothing that I noticed within easy walking distance.

I have visited Hummel on numerous occasions. My main reason for visiting is to enjoy the buffet breakfast at the Pilot House Restaurant. It is ALWAYS good. I have never had a problem parking. I have never paid or known of a landing fee. This is the whole idea of aviation: convenient destinations and services! Thanks for being there.

Hummel is very small, but worth the trip! I was scouting out places to visit on future trips and we'll be back to Eckhards's for dinner. The gentleman at the FBO was kind and accommodating, and the fuel price was not to be believed - less than $4 per gallon! It's a nice place and if nothing else, a good place to get gas.

My wife and I have flown into Hummel many times and have always found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. Last time in, they helped me arrange a rental car and were especially diligent and considerate to follow-up and see that the arrangements were complete. Great people!

Dropped in on a slow Saturday afternoon for a hundred-dollar hamburger in a rented 172. Airport staff couldn't have been friendlier- came out to meet me at the gas pump, even though it was cold out. Couldn't buy gas from them because they don't take American Express, but they've got good cheap gas and great service. Plenty of good places to eat right on the field, too. We'll be back!

Nice airport...Transient parking is Mid-Field (in the grass) next to the SS pumps. The building at the south end of the field is owned by a not so nice guy who seems to get upset with folks who are not familiar with the layout of the field. I called ahead and figured this out. The transient line guys met me with a "follow me" mini van and put me in a nice dry grass tiedown spot (Thx!). Landing fee was a reasonable $5.00. I didn't get gas. Unfortunately no rental car or taxi service is readily available so ground transportation requires friends. Ground access is also a bit confusing. Road leading into the transient area is not marked and kinda looks like your driving into a junkyard.
