Freshly sealed ramp will accommodate 6 or more C130's. Easy pump. Very nice volunteers eager to help, great accessible pilot lounge, generous loaner EV. Thanks to all the friendly locals who said hi while I waited for the marine layer to clear.

Have a house in Florence and although usually fly into EUG due to marine layer and lack of IAP at 6S2, if VMC this is a wonderful airport to visit. Florence is a beautiful city on the Central Oregon Coast, the airport is just over a mile from downtown, nice walk to town or use the courtesy car [more on that in a bit]. Self-Service 100LL and JET-A, very friendly volunteers in the airport office. 3K runway is more than sufficient particularly since you will almost always have a 10-15 knot headwind. As others have mentioned there is a courtesy car available, the most recent addition is a hybrid, no charge to use the car and nice for getting into downtown for those who would prefer not to walk or ride the courtesy mountain bikes. But please be respectful of the fact the car is for just that, NOT a long-term "free" rental. Over Memorial Day weekend somebody signed the car out on Saturday and decided to keep it until Monday Afternoon, meaning of course that any other visitors were SOL...

Florence is a super cute beach town. The FBO was staffed and offered clean restrooms and 2 crew cars, which require a $10 fee and included gas. I think they were only open till 4 on a Sunday and asked to return the car before then. We had plenty of time to go to downtown have lunch and fly a kite at the beach. The airport is on a cove and can be pretty windy.
