On my first stop on a cross country for fuel, the field looked abandoned, but there were self-service pumps. The plexiglass on the credit card machine screen was so badly scratched as to make it unreadable. After several attempts to find a way to refuel, I reached the point where I was to turn on the pump and refuel. When I flipped the pump on, absolutely nothing happened. The pump did not clear, the fuel did not flow, nothing. I had no choice but to cancel the transaction and head to another airport for fuel. Fortunately I had planned well enough that I had fuel to make it to another field. I just returned from my trip and checked my credit card account information and I see where a transaction hold has been placed on my account. I will contact my credit card company to assure that I am not charged, as I purchased no fuel at Camden. Pilots beware. They advertise low prices but their credit card machine is unusable. Avoid this field unless you have x-ray vision.

Good fuel prices attracted me and the facilities are very nice for an unattended airport. The fuel hose is a tad short so pull up close to the pumps. I highly recommend.

Nice facility. Fuel pumps easy to use. Ford dealership in town will rent you a car and bring it out.

Very nice place. I emailed and called ahead and got responses to both. Field was deserted 4:30-5PM when I was there on a Tuesday but everything worked perfectly. Easy access to the self-service pumps at the South end of the field by the FBO building. Relatively long runway for a small town and easy in/out. Definitely recommend for quick turn fuel stop if you do not mind self-service. FBO building was clean and nicely air conditioned with clean restrooms and drink machine and pilot lounge.

Good self serve pump and location. Pickup truck parked in front of pumps while a young man filled his cans blocked me from getting close enough to the pumps. The guy was oblivious. Also, newly paved runway, but tracks across it, about 1000' from north end included large clods of mud and rocks. Had to land long. Be wary.

Stopped on a lark basically, out of daylight and tired. No reservations, no plans and not afraid of either situation. Lauri (Lori) from the Holiday Inn Express was gracious enough to retrieve us from the airport since there is no courtesy car. She allowed that she assumed we would need to dine and made reservations for us at the Postmaser Grill (Emily Jordan, proprietor) with a pick up and drop off afterwards at the hotel from Emily. Great meal, very interesting history of the old post office that was converted (imagine dealing with the government over that!) into a restaurant with a very expansive menu and bar. Fuel at the airport was pretty typical price and the city made a hangar available to us. No active FBO but enough information is available to get around.
