The Avgas pricing published on AirNav and on Garmin Pilot is lower than the actual pricing when you purchase it from Regal. This has happened to me on two occasions. I have since opened an AirNav login ID in order to update pricing when I encounter variances. Frustrating. Also, I asked the front desk how to access my aircraft for an early departure and was told, "We give a special gate code to our customers." I mentioned that I purchased fuel from Regal, so I am a customer, and the front desk attendant said, "That doesn't count." Very frustrating. In the end, she called me back with the public access code, so I will be able to get to my plane and depart before they open in the morning. In what other industry does one spend a few hundred dollars and get treated like their business doesn't matter? Regal needs to try harder to make transient customers feel welcome and they certainly need to pay attention to their published Avgas prices!|
Response from Ron Morcom, President, Regal Air - Crown Avionics
When you mention AirNav you will get the published discounted fuel pricing. Also, KPAE is now a Commercial Service Airport with new TSA security measures enforcement. Unfortunately this means much tighter security access requirements. There is now a published phone number to access the ramp for returning to your aircraft through the gates. We are working closely with the airport to make this easier for our customers. We welcome your feedback. Thank you!
