Dropped off an AngelFlight into what used to be called, Andrews-Murphy Airport...Now changed to Western Carolina Regional (RHP). BEE-YOU-TEE-FULL airport.. Surrounded on three sides by 5, 000 peaks, making it one way in (rwy 8)...One way out (rwy 26). The best way to get in is to ask for the RNAV 8 approach with the MELLS transition. That gets you into a trough with a couple of bends...Then the runway offset by 14+ degrees. The people I met there couldn't have been nicer. Bob was mowing the lawn, dropped everything to "assist" me in refueling at the self-serve. He walked me thru the credit card process. He did the rest. Wish we had that at my home base. Terrific place to visit. I can only imagine what it would look like when the leaves change in a month or two!!
