AirNav Content Exchange

With AirNav Content Exchange, AirNav customers can display chunks of AirNav content on their own websites. We have created a number of web widgets that allow you to display fuel prices, comments and AirNav ratings right on your web site. The content will be automatically updated by AirNav and kept in synch with the AirNav website, and no effort is needed to keep the info updated on your website.

There is no cost to try out the AirNav Content Exchange widgets. All you need is to have a current paid AirNav listing in good standing. You will need a widgetID for your site, and you will need to have your webmaster insert some simple HTML code on your site. Then, if it works and you like it, there is a cost of $30 (for up to 3 widgets) each time you renew your AirNav listing. If you don't like it, just disable the widgets and there is no cost to you.

What do the widgets look like?

Fuel Prices widget

Shows your fuel prices as they appear on AirNav in real time. If your prices are GUARANTEED, they will show up as such. Otherwise, the last update date will be displayed. If you participate in AirBoss, your AirBoss participation will be shown. AirBoss prices will only be display if you elected to display AirBoss prices to all users, or if the user is auto-logged in to AirNav and a current AirBoss member.

This widget will always be relatively small, as shown, but its exact dimensions will vary depending on how much data needs to be displayed. Factors such as how many types of fuel, how many levels of service, and whether you participate in AirBoss will influence the size of the widget.

AirNav Rating widget

Shows your current AirNav rating, averaged from all the ratings of your customers' comments on AirNav. If your business is not yet rated, or becomes unrated, it will show as unrated. We do not recommend using this widget unless your business is already rated.

Comments (and comments+rating combo) widgets

These widgets show your most recent three comments that your customers wrote on AirNav. If you have responded to any of those comments on AirNav, your responses will also appear. You may not pick and choose which comments will appear, it will always be the three most recent. If users want to read more, they can click the button provided to read more. They can also click a button to write their own comments on AirNav.

When placing this widget on your web site, keep in mind the the length of the comments may vary significantly, and therefore the height of the widget will vary accordingly. Plan for that in your web site design.

Where do widgets appear on my web site?

Wherever you want. You can place them on any page on your site. You can place multiple widgets on one page, or on different pages.

Must I have a current paid listing on AirNav to use widgets?

Yes, for various reasons:

The information that populates the widgets comes from listings, so we need a listing as a source of the information
The widgets have links back to the AirNav listings, so if you didn't have a listing those would become broken links

If you don't have a current paid listing on AirNav, widgets will not be available to you. If you have a listing, add widgets to your site, and then later cancel the listing, the widgets may stop working and we will not be able to support them. To prevent unpredictable side effects on your site, if you cancel your AirNav listing you should remove all AirNav widgets from your web site.

How much does it cost?

We are currently offering a free trial of Content Exchange widgets to businesses with a current paid listing on AirNav. If you choose to continue using the widget, there is a cost of $30 (or more if using a customized widget) each time you renew your listing.

How do I do it?

You will need a widgetID and then you will need to insert some HTML code on your web site.

Place this HTML code where you want the widgets to appear:

For the fuel prices widget:	<DIV class="AirNav-Widget fuelprices" data-fbo="*widgetID*"></DIV>
For the rating widget:	<DIV class="AirNav-Widget rating"></DIV>
For the comments widget:	<DIV class="AirNav-Widget comments"></DIV>

Then, at the bottom of any page where you want AirNav widgets to appear, before the </BODY> tag, put this:

Naturally, you will need to replace widgetID with your own unique widgetID.

What is my widgetID?

Just log in to AirNav. If you are affiliated with a business listed on AirNav, you will then see your widgetIDs right here.

If you are a contractor or web administrator for a business, and they asked you to add these widgets, just contact us and we will assist you with the widgetID.

Can AirNav make these changes to my website for me?

No, AirNav cannot insert this HTML code into your website. Contact your website administrator and direct them to this page for information on how to add these widgets to your website.

Can I customize my widgets?

The widgets are provided as seen here for the standard low price of $30. If you want to customize them, yes, it can be done, but there is an additional cost.

Simple customization

Simple customizations can be made for a flat cost structure. The following can be changed as part of the simple customizations:

Overall widget width and height
Border width (default: 8 pixels)
Border color (default: AirNav orange)
Padding around widget, to separate it from your other content (default: no padding)
Background color (default: white)
Text color (default: black)
Font type and font size (default: whatever is on your web site or the user's browser settings)

The charges for simple customization are per widget. If you want to make simple changes to a widget, any or all simple customizations can be made for the same price. If you want to customize multiple widgets, the charges will apply to each widget.

Advanced customization

More advanced customization can be done too. Want more/fewer than 3 comments? Want prices for Jet-A only? Want to hide your AirBoss prices? Want to pick and choose comments instead of the newest comments? Want things laid out differently within a widget? Your imagination is the limit.

Because advanced customization may require advanced technical support on our end, and because it's impossible to anticipate where your imagination may take you, pricing for advanced customization will have to be established on a case by case basis based on the amount of work involved. Please contact us with your needs, and we will see if we can do it and at what cost.
