I will NOT stop at this airport again. The fuel price posted on AirNav as I write this is $4.00/gal, yet the actual price was $4.75. I tried to call ahead of time (on 3 day weekend) to verify price and availability of fuel, and no answer, no return of voice message. I should of known better. Leaky valve on fuel nozzle, no trash cans around pumps, hose reel in poor working order. And fuel was limited to $300 purchase (63 gallons). Maybe some planes can fill up on that, but not mine. Not the worst I've seen, but plenty disappointing.

Livingston is a nice stop for me when I'm doing cross countries, and a need a brief respite before I transition into the Houston area Class B. Nice facilities and nice people.

Airport is currently closed for repainting and relighting. Fuel is currently $3.00 for 100LL, as they want to empty the tanks for relocation. 6-29-2007 Also they got a new phone number: 936-967-5858 Info above was from Livingston City Hall and Mr. Dan Burrows.

On 5/9 I was flying an Ercoupe 415 from Louisiana to Harlingen, TX. And stopped in for fuel. Price was average and no big deal. Mr. Burrow was very friendly and accommodating. We sat and talk with him for 45mins. or so while the other aircraft we were flying with caught up. I would recommend this airport to anyone looking for a laid back fuel stop.

Dropped in at Livingston due to alternator failure and declining weather at near dusk on Sunday evening. Local aircraft owner, Billy, gave ride to lodging in town. Monday AM, FBO owner Don Burrows, pilot & A&P-IA, and Livington's Mayor Ben Ogletree, pilot and all-around good guy, troubleshot aircraft, remedied and sent me on my way. This is a great little airport (and further improvements are soon coming) that offers 24/7 fueling at a fair price, extremely good general mechanical services, and a great big dose of Southeast Texas hospitality. A great place to stop for service, fuel, or just to say hi. I'll be back!
