Shelter Cove is as great a destination as ever. The Inn recently completed a big renovation. Regular rooms have a fireplace and are about $150/night in season; deluxe rooms with fireplace and hot tub are about $250/night. The Inn is located just a block from the runway and has a courtesy van for visiting pilots. The Inn now has a coffee shop for lattes, a restaurant that serves breakfast, and homemade takeout pizza for the evening. Enjoy!

Stayed two nights, August 16, 17 2007. Staff very friendly and loaned us the courtesy van for use in town. The room was over $150 a night, typical for the area. You are paying for the location and view, which is spectacular. The room itself is rather basic, similar to a Motel 6 except microwave and frig. The Chart House was closed up. That left essentially one choice for a sit down meal in town. For "breakfast", only choice was the Espresso place in the hotel for a Danish, or the campground market south of the airport. Best advice is to bring anything food and drink wise that you may need during your stay including a wine cork remover. The last night we ate pizza in our room on the balcony, bottle of wine, well, you get the idea. The pizza place in the hotel is excellent, but they make the pizza by appointment so order early, they are only open a few hours each evening. Approach to the airport is fun with wonderful views. Just remember to bring everything you may need.

Spent 2 nights 5-22/23-'07 Room on third floor was very nice @ $158 per night, Great View. There are no phones in rooms and cell phone don't work. Anywhere! We had full use of Courtesy Van both days. Ate at Chart House. Very good. Also ordered Pizza, from Inn's pizza cafe, ate it in our room. Not much to do here, but it is a beautiful place to get some R & R.

One of our all-time favorites on the coast. Beautiful setting just 2 blocks from north end of runway. Dog-friendly with latte shop on ground floor--all the necessities! Wx reporting occasionally available under identifier "O87".
