Had excellent stay at Tides Inn right on the oceanfront. Julie was very hospitable and helpful. She let us use her vehicle to go to the airport. Also Mario’s restaurant is closed for now as well as pro golf shop. However there is an excellent restaurant called the Cove right next to the Tides Inn only open Thurs - Sunday Dinner only. There is a brand new Tea House (Mendoncino Tea House) that serves great tea, sandwiches, and homemade desserts. Open from 11 -4. There is also a new surf and etc shop called tsunami across from the golf pro shop that will rent clubs and sell balls. Lisa said she would be looking into renting bikes in the near future.

Very nice hotel, all rooms have ocean view, fridge & microwave oven, many have balconies. Rates about $125/nt, par for area. Julie will loan her car for short trips (such as to The Chart House for dinner, about 1 mi.)
