Flew in from KAUS last weekend with my daughter to see the wildflowers and have lunch. This was my first XC as a newly minted pilot. The milk shakes are great. Friendly atmosphere and pilot's lounge. The Southern Flyer is very busy on the weekends in wildflower season.

The Southern Flyer Diner and FBO are GREAT. The '50's atmosphere in the diner is great and the service for my group was excellent. Don't forget to order one of those incomparable Blue Bell chocolate milk shakes with your lunch! A great place to take your friends and family! Jack is doing a great job with this place! Will definitely return.

Flew in Saturday for a late lunch. Food was not up to its usual high quality. Ordered lunch portion of catfish and was served two very small pieces of fish that had obviously been cooked in grease that was too hot. Ditto the hush puppies. Cole slaw was good, but there was only about 3 tablespoons full. (I am not exaggerating.) I should have sent the food back, but in the interest of time, I did not. Had to ask for a water refill. I will give them one more shot.

Great burgers, good prices and an awesome deck out back with runway views and nice shade. This is one of those places that one constantly looks for as a pilot and rarely actually finds.

Very nice restaurant with great waitresses. Good burgers and fries for reasonable (airport) prices. 50's nostalgia theme and everything good you've ever heard about the restaurant and airfield is absolutely true. Highly recommend for a $100 hamburger trip.

In search of the $100 hamburger one day and found this place to be outstanding. Perfect hours, not very busy with a great food and atmosphere in a 50's style diner. Highly recommend a stop here, one of the best on site eateries I have come across.

Finally flew over to try the restaurant that pilots are talking about. We met relatives for lunch and all had good comments on the location, airport facilities, building, staff and food. Too bad we don't have something this nice at Georgetown, GTU, on the field!

The folks at 11R were just a pleasure to be with. Having to divert because of sever weather northeast of San Antonio, they immediately found me hangar space to avoid the rain and hail. Almost important was my personal tank was on empty. I had no idea they even had a restaurant moreover it ranked in my top 5 of airport restaurants! Thanks and I hope to see everyone there, including the cute girls soon.

I have been to Brenham five times in the past 2 months and it is a gem of a place to visit. The Southern Flyer restaurant (conveniently on the field) not only has excellent food but a great atmosphere and friendly service. My latest to die for discovery this past visit were the Brenham Boneless White Meat Wings. Stop in and enjoy what the $100 hamburger really is all about. It's worth it!

I am hooked and the diner makes 11R our favorite destination. Great atmosphere, mushroom swiss burgers and the best chocolate malt shakes by far. Try the chicken tenders can't go wrong.

The best airport restaurant in Texas!! The people are great, always a smile with plenty of food and airplanes to see. Especially, on a sunny weekend! One of my favorite places to hang out at!

My wife, a friend and I flew to Brenham for the first time to eat at the restaurant. We thought it was awesome; the food was great at a reasonable price. The setting was great. We will surely be back.

I used Brenham as one of my pick-up and drop-off points during the evacuation of family and friends for Hurricane Rita. What a great airport! Great service - even at the self-serve fuel pumps - from the airport staff. The cafe was perfect for picking up passengers, as it's cool air, 50's atmosphere (down to hoop skirts) and great food helped take everyone's mind off of the hurricane. And of course we'll be back for more fresh Blue Bell ice cream!

My first visit to the terminal and restaurant was both memorable and enjoyable. The ambience was entertaining. The facility, staff, and food were superb.
